Belichick has said often enough that Sunday games at 1PM are the ideal scenario for him and the team that I think he means it. I'll just stick with what he thinks puts the Pats in the best position to win.

A few years ago, when the Pats were first emerging from decades of mismanagement and obscurity, I could understand the obsession to get the team before national audiences, usually on Sunday or Monday night. But now, the team is established and doesn't have to prove anything to anyone by getting the national spotlight. All things considered, I'd just rather that they win quietly on Sunday afternoon and win prime time games in the Playoffs.

As a season ticket holder, I also vote no.

Thanksgiving is a day that I like to cherish being with my family, sitting around all day, eating an extravagant meal and watching other teams play.

With only 2 tickets, that wouldn't happen and I wouldn't want to have to sell them. So I'd prefer all home games to be on Sunday.

Agreed. All the 4:15 games, plus the Sunday and Monday nights have been terrible for my football watching. I much prefer Sunday's at 1.

It would be on NFLN. My parents don't get NFLN. No nearby open bars on Thanksgiving to watch. Don't mind Pats being on the earlier two games however.
Right on. NFLN sucks for game coverage. Mike Mayock kept jabbering about the pre-draft combine and this kid has a motor and runs 3.0 - 40 and scored high on the Wunderlick and his father was a coach and his mother is a nun and blah, blah, blah...like we care.

It was the guys wearing the big boy pants playing and who gives a rat's ***** what some guy scored on the Wunderlick three years ago? His melon is now mush from head-to-head hits, he's broke from being fined by Roger Goodell for passing wind in the huddle, we're in some Tryptophan stupor from Thanksgiving dinner and the NFLN announcers can't even tell us the down and distance because their heads are so far up their a$$e$.

No way.

All Thursday games suck but they are unavoidable. Home Thursday games suck a bit less.

This is the main reason why it wouldn't work here. I don't think any other part of the country features high school football on Thanksgiving.

I don't think the coaches or players would be too big on the shorter week but it would give me another chance to watch them on TV
