Default Shane Vereen and our RBs

Its a shame this kid was out battling injuries for so long. He looks really good running the ball as we all expected. WIth him, Ridley, Woodhead and BJGE, I think we have a dynamic set of RBs that all posses exclusive skillsets.

BJGE: More of our down the hill, straight-foward back.
Woodhead: Shifty and very elusive 3rd down back.
Ridley: Fast out the backfield mixed with quickness type runner.
Vereen: Only saw him play once but seems to resemble Ridley in some ways. Seems to make good cutbacks and gain good speed afterwards.

Hopefully we start to use Vereen more often.

He made an awful lot of chicken salad out of the chicken ***** the line gave him yesterday.

I like this, lol. He definitely showed some good instincts finding a running lane. His 19 yard run was a thing of beauty.

His touches came at the end of a game in which the Chief's defense was running out of gas and had given up on sacking Brady. Not sure how well he'd have fared earlier. But it was nice to see him get some reps under live fire. Hopefully we find ourselves in situations down the stretch that allow for him to get more reps, but the first priority remains getting the W and insuring the franchise remains standing...

He does seem to have an explosive second gear...

Just another weapon in BB's arsenal....wait til they work him into the passing game and he learns to pick up blitzes !!

Nice addition of another youngster into the O...

What impressed me was that the chiefs knew we were running and he managed to get the yards

I have to add this

benny is not a true downhill runner , his strength is the off tackle runs and let him pick the hole to hit.He is not a true in between the tackle runner. When you run him off tackle both the sides he is very very strong.

woodhead - i am worried about blitz pickup ,last week safety and his week he got thrown into brady`s leg. those 20lb he gives up to faulk is starting to show against bigger 3-4 ILB

Shane - want to see if he can block a blitzer .sadly he did not have camp to learn this . he is a bit bigger than woody and might be more effective. In 3rd down i want to see faulk/shane get more reps in passing downs.

True.

I have noticed Woodhead letting some defenders get through some. He's a hard worker though so hopefully he'll get better at this part of his job.

I'm not sure they were running out of gas, but one thing I know for sure is that they knew what was coming and they still couldn't stop it.
