Default Which former Patriot player (between 2000-2008) do you miss the most?

What former Patriots player do you miss the most, not on this team anymore?

The player must be still playing somewhere else or at least not officially retired.

The player can be a player already on the team when BB became coach,But has to have been on the Patriots roster from 2000 and forward (So,John Hannah ect: does not count).

Is it David Givens,Ty Law,Antwain Smith,Willie McGinest,Deion Branch,Christian Fauria,Lawyer Milloy or someone else?

I miss Willie #55 the most of all the guys gone the past 8 years,to me he made the biggest difference in the playoffs than any other player not here anymore.

How about you?

As much as I hate to say it, Adam V. - However, I base that on one play in this years Super Bowl - You all know the play. Perhaps with Adam, Bill would have kicked the Field goal on 4th.

Other than that, I would have to say Troy Brown. Just going to be very strange without him on the team.

This is a tough one.... My first thought was Ty Law as he probably hangs on to the pic last year.

Second thought was Corey Dillon...but only because that kind of running is the most entertaining thing in sports. But with Maroney the need isnt as great.

My final thought is Ted Johnson. I think his role was very underated and I think people don't realize how much he freed up Bruschi and CO to do their job. Instead the past few years others have had to do his job taking away from their old roles when he was there. And may have helped create the illusion that our LBs were old and slow even though they continued to get the job done.

EDIT: I am going to add an honorable mention for Drew. obviously we don't miss him for his play because of Brady but he was the man for so long here that he is certainly missed.

Ty Law. Nobody can get inside Peyton Manning's head like Law can. I hope we can resign him to some sort of vet minimum in the offseason still.

Rodney H. has done a good job of picking off Peyton as well. Any one know how many times Rodney and Ty intercepted Peyton??? I don't, just wondering what the count was.

Probably Lawyer Milloy, Corey Dillon, Ty Law, Bryan Cox, and Willie Mc.

All are class guys who came to play week in and week out and if they could still play at a high level I would love them to be part of the Pats again.

Since I think Troy will retire, I will stick with McGinest. Milloy and Law shot their ways out of town. Although I don't despise Law like some people do, he doesn't hold as special place in my heart as Troy, McGinest, or Vinatieri do. Branch also shot his way out of town and wasn't around nearly as long as the others.

SOME OF YOU DIDN'T READ THE OP

I said ACTIVE players or players not officially retired as of yet.

Corey Dillon has retired,Ted Johnson is also not going to suit up again.

I'd add Roman Pfeiffer to the list. reliable.

And for completely different reasons, I miss being able to say, "earthwind morland". At least without people saying "who?" or "why'd you just say earthwind morland like that for no reason?"
