I remember that guy. What happened to him? He was supposed to be the next big thing, I drafted him to my fantasy team, and then *poof* he was gone.

He was fast, but was stupid and couldn't run routes. He bounced around the NFL for a couple years and then went up north and played for the BC Lions for awhile. I believe he was cut after this past season (he was oft-injured).

Sound familiar? Yeah, Bethel is Tony Simmons.

For what it's worth, Chris Canty was playing pro football up until last year too. In af2, the Arena League's minor league. That's right, former first round pick Chris Canty was so bad he couldn't even play in the upper division of the Arena League.

Wish him luck, always will remember him for 2 big plays, a diving catch to seal a victory against the Seahawks and the Kick off return for a TD with 8 seconds left in the 1st half against the Colts. HUGE momentum swing on that return. Colts had just scored to close out the half, or so they thought........
