Take a quick glance, if you have the time, at two opinion pieces from Philadelphia. It seems that both Comcast and their personal senator have taken some hits.
It seems that the Steelers beat the Patriots by two touchdowns during the 2004 season, then lost by the same 14-point margin in the AFC championship game three months later. Specter's apparent implication is that intelligence garnered during the first game helped provide the turnaround in the second, although he didn't explain how knowing the Steelers' defensive signals would help the Pats intercept three Ben Roethlisberger passes or score 24 points on a total of four turnovers.
As a journalist who cut his professional teeth in the post-Watergate '70s, I love a conspiracy. I'd love to believe the NFL is hiding something, and I'd love to find out what it is. But I don't see it. And, frankly, I'm not sure Arlen Specter sees it either.
I think he's just mad that Goodell, the son of a former U.S. senator, didn't show him enough respect when he initially inquired about why he destroyed the tapes and notes. His anger only increased when he and his staff couldn't get anyone to talk to them when he tried to conduct his own investigation into Spygate earlier this year.

As sick as I am of all this crap, I do love reading stuff like that - I really hope this ends very badly for Sen. Comcast. I know that's awful to hope for, but considering what he's put us fans thru, I really want him to burn for this one.

I don't think that's horrible at all...in fact, I think it's beautiful!
It is good to hear negative, intellegent & informed reaction to a man who is not intellegent or informed.
I'd rather see the man live a long and healthy life, voted out of office and spending his weekends watching his beloved Pennsylvania teams crushed by the hated Patriots.
I'd love to see a huge scandal involving Specter and a prostitute/money laundering/trafficking/extortion and watch him go down in flames in front of the press. Now THAT would be poetic justice.

I wonder why everyone here questions Spector's credibility just for being on the board of Comcast but I will bet none of you questioned Senator Mitchell's credibility when he was ON THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE RED SOX. Mitchell was actually on the board of directors of one of the teams he was supposed to be investigating. If that doesnt scream conflict of interest I dont know what does. So lets all be thankful that we got lucky with the Mitchell Report because you can bet if Randy Levine or Lonn Trost (both members of the Yankees board) were doing a report, Papi and Schill's names would have appeared several times. Somehow I think being against the entire NFL (like Spector might be because of Comcast's dispute with NFL network) is much better than being biased for his own team and against a specific team like Mitchell.
It seems that the only people who are up for Specter moving forward on this are blindly passionate Patriots haters who don't care about anything other than bringing down the Patriots. Most people feel including people from PA feel that there is no reason for Specter or anyone else in Congress delving into Spygate.

Funny, I didn't see any prominent Yankees on the list except for Clemens, which was obvious, and Pettite, which was somewhat of a surprise but given his relationship with Clemens not that shocking. You make it sound as if Mitchell dropped Arod or Jeter in there and further there's no evidence of Schilling or Ortiz doing roids.

If we take up a collection, we could set him up in a sting operation
