I'd take him if Rodney wasn't returning or he was willing to be a special teamer (NO WAY). Otherwise, no thanks. Plus, I'm not sure he will be going anywhere. I doubt he will.

Even at this point in his career, he can still hit.
Yes, he can still lay the lumber if given an opportunity, but he's lost a serious edge off his game, and he's nowhere near the player he was 2 or 3 years ago. Truly, you can say this about him: His reputation precedes him, but that is all.

He just recently re-upped with Denver, but this is a team with a serious identity problem. The contract, although only weeks old, is not writ come down from Mt. Sinai, and while Denver's ownership did indeed get a bit involved with the contract negotiations, as enamored as they are of Lynch, the are much, much more so with Mike Shanahan, and if he says they need to cut him to gain more cap room, that is what will happen, because for Denver and the team ownership, Shanahan's proclamations are writ come down from Mt. Sinai!

The Patriots don't need a defense comprised of AARP card carrying members. Besides, Belichick drafted Brandon Meriweather to replace Eugene Wilson at free safety.

Isn't Rodney scheduled to make more than $3.7M this year?

Wow, pretty harsh words against a guy who has been a great contributor to online Pats chat for what say 10+ years?
