Yes, he can still lay the lumber if given an opportunity, but he's lost a serious edge off his game, and he's nowhere near the player he was 2 or 3 years ago. Truly, you can say this about him: His reputation precedes him, but that is all.
He just recently re-upped with Denver, but this is a team with a serious identity problem. The contract, although only weeks old, is not writ come down from Mt. Sinai, and while Denver's ownership did indeed get a bit involved with the contract negotiations, as enamored as they are of Lynch, the are much, much more so with Mike Shanahan, and if he says they need to cut him to gain more cap room, that is what will happen, because for Denver and the team ownership, Shanahan's proclamations are writ come down from Mt. Sinai!
