If you were not implying that they were bad at it and just noting that they are not perfect than what was the point of the statement. Obviously Bill is not perfect if he was we would have won the.... well I don't want to finish this sentance but you can imagine where I was going.

With the talent that he has found thru Free agency I think it more than makes up for a few bad choices in Beisel or Mallard or some of the others you mentioned and it certainly should not stop him from trying to find another guy who could contribute here.

Signing a high profile UFA might cancel out a high profile UFA that

you lost and cost a compensatory pick. I doubt the Pats think this

way when they sign UFAs.

Most of those guys were signed at the minimum to compete for spots, an/or play sts.
You really cannot be saying that bringing in Ratcliff Thomas to compete for a job is a consideration in the evaluation of how BB and Pioli assess FA LBs, can you?

On multiple occasions Jonathan Kraft has said it is taken into account.

How did Adam Seward get so popular? Over 100 responses to this thread. Is this guy the real deal or something?

Seems to be mostly people waving their wands in the air and arguing about free agency and BB/Pioli's ability to judge talent.

I think they stopped talking about Seward on page 2.

I don't see how anyone could be opposed to this guy. He's got more tools than Monty Beisel. He was heavily scouted by us. Seems to fit the 3-4 mold rather than the 4-3 mold (like most of Carolina's young defensive players; Stanley McClover anyone?). He's young and coachable. Let's give him a try. He'll probably have more success than a 5th round pick.
