Default Even more competition for Hoyer and Mallett

It Is What It Is » Notes from Wednesday morning’s walkthrough

Editorial comments in brackets.

Quote:
- While Brady, Brian Hoyer and Ryan Mallett all got their snaps under center, it was youngster Harry Kraft, son of Jonathan Kraft and grandson of Robert Kraft, who stole the show at the quarterback position. Wearing a light blue t-shirt, shorts and a Dean Ween haircut, the youngster (who ESPN’s Chris Mortensen noted attended Peyton Manning‘s camp) worked out of the shotgun and hit Wes Welker with a bullett (relatively) in the endzone. Another pass was just out of Deion Branch‘s reach [], though he sold play action flawlessly. []

The young Kraft, appearing to be in his early teens, seemed to mean business out there, but unfortunately so too did some players. Defensive back Kyle Arrington tipped a pass from the youngster intended for Vince Wilfork (yes, Vince Wilfork) [], making Harry Kraft probably the youngest person to experience their “welcome to the NFL” moment. He later went back under center and Malcolm Williams did the unthinkable by actually picking off one of the kid’s passes. []

I'm actually glad they played defense against him. Makes it more "real."

Was def an odd draft selection even though it was a 7th round pick.

I think it was an attempt at humor since he picked off the kid's pass.......

Wouldn't you love to see Vince line up as a WR?? Pats are up big on say the Jets, when Big Vince reports as an eligible receiver and lines up across from Revis. Pure gold!!!

Creator of the Pats must draft Jason Verrett in 2014 no matter the cost fanclub.

Especially if Revis recreates this play.
