It's on PTI. 1 for 3 so far, not bad.

Update: Well that didn't work out as I had planned. Next year baby, next year 19-0 we go. Next year.

Tony says Spector shouldn't be sticking his nose in the NFL, and they don't need the senate to look into this. Said he should be cocerned with things such as Iraq.
Wilbon says NFL can't police itself well enough and it's good to have this higher authority.
I love how so many people are turning against Spector.

Was this said in sarcasm, or was he being serious?

Maybe the media is finally realizing that people just really don't care that much anymore. It's weird, out here in SoCal, I'm noticing the interest waning even here. That's especially odd since Chargers fans HATE us. But yeah, at this point they have the same sort of mentality (wrongly, I'd argue) that they do with steroids in baseball. Yeah, they think it was cheating, and they think it ****ed up the integrity of the sport, but at this point it's just beating a dead horse.

Used the multiple player arrests as reference.
It's okay, Wilbon has proven repeatedly this year that his first objective, which is entertainment, far outweighs his responsibility to make any kind of sense. The fact that he can't differentiate between players breaking federal laws and a couple of teams breaking some arbitrary league rules further bears this out.

I never expect anything from the guy.
Although I do pay attention, because unfortunately as Vrabel put it, most other people can't formulate their own opinions, and eat up everything ESPN tells them.

I think people don't care as much anymore because of two reasons:
1) The NFL season is over so people are worried about other things.
2) The Giants won the super bowl so even though most people believe the Patriots cheated, they still feel like karma got them in the end and they were denied the trophy.
If the Patriots had won the super bowl, I think this would be bigger news since the fans of every other team would want their championship to be taken away.

I can't believe I am typing this, but you may be right...losing to the Giants might have been enough to slow this train down and shut people up.
