Re-sign Samuel. That should be priority #1. He is looking at 8 years 80 million range... in 5 years that contract will look like a bargain.

Hi all
I will probably hear the dumb broad bit for this but here goes.

This is our schedule:

Home games
Bills 7-9 (w)
Broncos 7-9 (w)
Cardinals 8-8 (w)
Chiefs 4-12 (w)
Dolphins 1-15 (w)
Jets 4- 12 (w)
Rams 3-13 (w)
Steelers
Road games
Bills 7-9 (w)
Chargers
Colts
Dolphins 1-15 (w)
49ers 6-10 (w)
Jets 4-12 (w)
Raiders 4-12 (w)
Seahawks

12 of the teams we will play had a combined 2007 record of 52 wins and 136 losses.
Yes. Some of those teams will/MAY improve. But we should get (w's) against ALL of them.

Regardless of who is at linebacker. Even harooni. So what? you say. Well I say we put some younger guys in the lineup from the start and 'season' them for 21 weeks. Pre season and regular. By the time SB comes around they will be seasoned vets and get us #4.
I sense some panic on the boards that I don't think is justified. This is the year to train our future. We may never have as easy a schedule again. Forget putting the pressure of another undefeated season on us and our guys. Go for seasoning some kids right now. When we take home Lombardi 43 I guarantee #42 will be avenged. Two in a row always beats one and done.

By the way. Finally put the finishing touch on my work schedule. I will only miss one sox home game. (Fort Myers)

Don't cry poooor babies. They will desert me and spend all summer AND October with you all.
.^_^.

Raiders corner is a great player. I like Hamlin too but if we were to get him it should have been last year, now that we have Merriweather and Sanders were set at safety.

Nnamdi Asomugha the best corner in the NFL right now, he'd actually be worth the money Asante wants. Of course, that's not how we do things, but just throwing it out there.

Quote:
Even established star quarterbacks such as Brett Favre and Peyton Manning, neither short on confidence or receivers, would not challenge him.

Opposing quarterbacks tested him only 31 times with a mere 10 completions the entire season.

One NFL scout told Pro Football Weekly that Asomugha was thrown at "less than any defender in the last 10 years" in 2007.

I stick with the school of thought that Briggs is not the best fit for our system, at least for the price he'd be asking. I really want to see us draft a high round LB. Just once.
give Brandon a chance. He's one of the best safties that Miami's ever had...and remember thats the school of the late Sean Taylor and BB's beloved Ed Reed. We still have a lot of talent at saftey and for Brandon to see the amount of playing time that he did, his first year went fine...he should blossom under BB. Maybe not an immeadiate impact player...but I think well all see why BB chose him next season and into the future. I DEF. think that Oakland's Asomauga ( spelling...sorry if i spelled it wrong ) would be a GREAT fit with the Pats. Hes outstanding. Great size, ball skills...everything.

Not even Terrell Suggs who is 25? That is who I would want on the Pats. I feel like one of the biggest problem that has been plagueing the Pats has been a consistant pass rush. The pass rush has been very soft the past couple of years. Too many average QB's have had too much time to pick apart the defense. I think we know what the other problem is. Their secondary sucks.

I think the Pats need to move on. Samuel is too small to match up with big recievers. The smart money would be to sign that Raiders CB instead. He is 6'2'' and can match up with anyone. The defense needs change. Not a major change, but the Pats need to do something different.

You're right ever since Willie McG. departed. The pass rush just hasn't been the same.
