The Giants deserved to say whatever they want. When told of Plaxico's prediction of how many points the pats would have, Brady physically laughed and ridiculed the mere thought of it. Isn't that just as bad?
It sucks, but deal with it.
oh, your right. I forgot about all of the 4-letter words that came out of Bradys mouth when he responded to the prediction.

I don't mind that the Giants talk *****. They earned it. I'm not gonna listen to any of it for at least 2 weeks or so, but don't have a fundamental issue with it. I remember us talking a little smack too after beating St. Louis, so lets not be hypocritical. They won, and to the victor goes the spoils.
Being disrespectful is pretty crappy, but it's part of today's sports. It always seems to find a way back to you when your are though.
Also, lets get real. The plain truth is, the Giants beat us in one game (albeit an important one), that's it. They didn't kill ***** and nothing is over.
As for BB, I have NO PROBLEM with how he acted. He congratulated Coughlin and then left. After the way the ENTIRE media treated him all year, I'd of actually been REALLY DISAPPOINTED if he'd been any more gracious to any of them.

I wouldn't exactly use the word "graciously" when describing how your coach acted in defeat...
Really? I think that BB going onto the field with NO TIME on the clock, shaking Coughlin's hand and hugging him before going up the tunnel is being very gracious. Just because the moron officials decided to put time back on the clock after BB was already at the tunnel doesn't speak ill of BB. It speaks ill of the moron officials who needlessly put players and fans at risk of injury by insisting on having that last kneel down.

Brady didn't ridicule it. Brady was surprised and questioned it. Then said that Plax was entitled to his opinion.
I'm actually pretty proud that I haven't read a single Giants post-game quote or a single bit of mainstream media analysis about the game. I've grown fully confident that I will get a much better discussion of what went wrong here than I will from the media.
I agree. I'm staying the hell away from all that stuff.
Let the NYG talk. They won their ring, good for them. Now they can enter the long line of one and dones. The Pats will continue to compete for championships for the next 5+ years, Giants won't.

Gotta love the Giants homers who spin things.
Too bad I'm from New Orleans and am a Saints fan. Good try though.
Seriously, 4 letter words have nothing to do with it. Brady LAUGHED and said "is Plaxico playing defense?". He said "17 points? Ok" sarcastically.
Now, to be fair, I have no problem with what Brady did. Heck, I laughed at what Plaxico said.
But to be mad at the Giants players for saying anything when they were the NFC's fifth best team heading into the playoffs and they beat arguably the best NFL team in the last 10 years in the biggest game of the year, they can say whatever they want.
As a "neutral" fan, but one that didn't want to see his Dynasty in question or his HOF Coach's record of 4-0 in the SB threatened, I did find it slightly hard to root for the Giants. I more rooted against the Pats than anything. But I remember today...why when living in NJ, I hated all NY Teams.
They are Horrible Winners. Horrible, from the Devils, Rangers, Yankees, Knicks, Jets and Giants, they have no class at all. Now I remember why I rooted for Baltimore to smack up the Giants, and I hate Baltimore as a Steelers fan. Its been so long since NY has won anything that I forgot how ignorant they are as winners.
Not only that, I was happy with the way the Pats said "hey, they deserved it....congrats to them, they outplayed us...."
No "the better team lost"......no "they were classless".....no "there was a conspiracy...."
The Pats are a hardworking, focused, disciplined, overachieving team. Yes, overachieving. For all the talk of talent.....Bruschi was a 4th round pick, Vrabel 3rd round, Brady 6th round, Welker undrafted, only one o-lineman was a 1st round pick, etc. etc. etc.
Yeah, they have talent. But America has lost track in their hatred what a tough, physical, smart, hard-working, well-coached, professional team this is. They loved us on the first Super Bowl. They hate us now. Well sorry America, you are missing the boat on this team. You are the frauds. Not the Patriots. Because if you can't see what they really are, you are not real football fans and not real observant.
And nothing proves it more than the professional and proper way they reacted to a very bitter loss. Compared to how the Giants reacted to the win, I think it says a lot about who'll be back to the Super Bowl soon and who won't be. A hot streak is not professionalism and consistency. We'll see.
J D Sal, I think a lot of the anti-Pats stuff comes from the "hired guns" they pulled in this season. I mean, no one likes Randy Moss, really. He's one step away from T.O. in most fans eyes. He was a Viking, during the "boat trip" days and then a Raider. Yuck. Then with Stallworth coming in, it started to look like a "yankees" team being put together.
As for your O-line. I wish we had that O-line all year. My QB wouldn't be sacked 47 times. Instead I have no center and a disgruntled gaurd and two tackles playing in their free agency season. Nice.
Welker was the stud on that team all year. He has my respect. The Defense, well Jr Saeu Kid of made it look like the "hired gun" thing again, and then Rodney Harrison, man, that guy irks everyone who isn't a Pats fan. Trust me, if he was on the Steelers, you'd hate him and I'd love him.
As for smart, hard working, well owned, I'm pretty sure the Rooney's fit into that category. Build through the Draft, develop talent and play hard week in and week out. Maybe that's why as fans, we clash so hard. The two teams are very comparable from that aspect. Vrabel was a Steeler first and is one of the only linebackers we've ever cut that actually succeeded on another team.
