that could be the most pathetic explanation I have ever seen. Ummm, the ref is standing in the way of the ball being snapped. the refs are talking about the spot. the refs determined it was a first down and then asked for the clock to be started. this happens all the time. if there were 26 seconds as opposed to 59 seconds you better believe the giants would be calling different plays.
