Hey Mo, are you really the Phil Conners at the beginning of Groundhog Day? I realize it must be frustrating being so much smarter than anyone else, but really. Your arrogance is amazing sometimes.

There is usually no snap count in the shotgun formation. It's hard to screw up something that doesn't exist.

You have a point in that it is always about speed. However, the Patriots scored 24 against the Colts, 38 against the Giants, and 31 (24 via offense) against the Eagles in the regular season. So, even when playing all that "speed," they were still able to move the ball pretty darn well and put points on the board.

Speed alone does not account for what happened Sunday for an offensive line with pro bowlers who had more than held their own against speed all season.

I was thinking the same thing during the game. I know in the eagles sb the eagles players said that they changed cadences in the second half and threw screens out of formations that we didn't usually throw to the backs. The Giants also seemed to be all over every wideout screen we threw, which is a little odd considering they were bringing blitzes etc. If this was the Pats the fact they seemed to know our every move would be construed as proof that we were cheating, remember the coach that said we never guessed wrong; well the giants never guessed wrong. PS just illustrating silliness of accusations that are taken seriously and reported, not really accusing Giants of somehow getting our offensive signals illegaly, but there is the possibility we had tells or overt tendencies. So please no reply's that call me an ignorant homer that can't accept defeat.

You're right. They were also overpowered.

I swear that their DE's were already behind our tackles before they even got out of their stance.
I don't understand it.
They weren't THAT good last time we played.

All the people here with negative comments need to watch the game again. the Giants were getting off the snap faster than our own guys were. That was both in shotgun and under center. They had no leverage to block on at least 75% of the snaps. I am surprised it was not addressed during the game ... well, it was addressed finally on that last drive. Hindsight is 20/20 ... what could have been different can always be discussed after every game ... but altering the snap is a basic to every game. Does anyone here think Charlie Weiss would have missed it ... NOT!!!

I thought that as well. The D-line was jumping way to fast for my liking and the refs called nothing.

The Pats needed to run a straight up draw play to keep the D-line honest.

Yeah and they only had three total in the three previous playoff games.

They Let Brady Down ........

The Patriots offensive line sure did! Maybe the beards weighed them down?
