Make sure you setup start recording 15 mn before and after , sometimes games stay longer than the schedule , and the recording stops.

I'm doing a little old school and a little school. We are taping the game on DVR in the living room, but I'm taping the game on my VCR in the family room. I always keep an archive of the big games on VCR tape. I have all three Super Bowl broadcasts on video.
