At the age of 30 Brady is the best ever, what he will be at the end of his career is something else all together. I'm just going to sit back and enjoy the ride.

Well, at this point in his career, he doesn't warrant it. And I think people realize that now. Frankly, I don't think Favre is in the convo of top 5 either. Brady and Montana is obvious, but you do also have to say Elway and Unitas... that really only leaves you 1 more spot. And Manning doesn't fit in there as well as Starr, Staubach, or a Marino.

Unless Manning adds another ring he won't be in that conversation...

He's in the team picture, as they say. He needs to win this SB and one more for it to not even be questioned. If he has 5 rings, no one can touch him. Rings trump stats anyday and it won't really matter what his career totals are.

.....Rings and WINS!

I still can't believe he is 100-26 as a starter, that is sick especially considering the playoff record of 14-2 and being an AFC Team. He has more 4th Quarter comebacks than loses. Sick, sick , sick.

My two cents on the "Best Ever" debate.
QBs that leave the pocket and "improvise" seem to earn more acclaim than they deserve. Their athletism earns them credibility points with the fanboy crowd because they leave the protection of their offensive line and appear to single handedly lead their teams down field. (My fondest memories of Steve Grogan are him running around behind the line of scrimmage like a chicken without a head and then delivering.)
Favre is the classic... "I'm blowing this play up and and just winging it". Romo seems to be the heir apparent to Favre ... entertaining, memorable football that earn these QBs style points and grey hair for coaches.
Montana and Young both had the athletism to move around outside the pocket as gameplanned, both were extemely accurate, and both won. These two were the ultimate "Systems QB". (Which is a good thing) Bill Walsh understood their skill set and designed an offense that used his QBs' athleticism as a weapon in a controlled environment. Watching that offense operate was a thing of beauty. Montana and Young are most definitely higher on my list than Favre because of the "smarts" both displayed.
Now when you talk about Brady, different adjectives are used. Pocket awareness, mechanics, field vision....all less exciting than watching a scrambling QB escape trouble.
With regards to the "Best Ever" debate, Brady made giant strides this year because of his mind numbing statistics. The national audience has been able to witness first hand Brady stepping out in front of his teammates and delivering TDs and wins in spectacular fashion. Brady has brought excitement inside the pocket. The memories of Brady's record breaking performances are now inside the minds of the nation, next to memories of Brady's SB victories, MVPs, winning streaks and displays of leadership. Because of his personal successes this year, the naysayers have no ammo left to assault his status as the the "Best Ever".
