Question Any thoughts on Brady's demeanor yesterday?

From the start of the game I just felt he wasn't acting like he usually does and this morning Skip Bayliss on ESPN mentioned same thing which prompted me to query the forum. My take was he seemed much more subdued than he normally acts, wasn't standing/pacing or interacting on the sidelines like he usually does.

After his first pass, I knew he was going to have one of his rare bad days. When Brady is off, the ball seems to sail on him early. Oh well, I'll take that "never had two bad games in a row" streak into the Super Bowl !

To me, he looked like a quarterback that was frustrated by a great defense that was disguising its defensive rush packages extremely well. He also looked cold and nicked up after a long season.

The whole team looked tight and business like to me. I think the AFCCG from last year has been weighing on all of them and, whether publicly or not, most of them have largely expected to be back in that position this year.

I think they were tight and when SD punched them in the face it didn't help. But they ground it out.

He looked like Tom Brady playing QB, and not playing quite as well as he normally does but winning anyway.

I overlooked an earlier post 'Is Tom feeling ok' which adressed same topic. Whatever it was there is no doubt he was either mentally?/physically? out of sorts. And YUH.......... body language is real chickareeno.............

After the first couple of throws, I told the people I was watching the game with that Brady would throw 2 INTs.

When Brady is having an off day, his release point is very high... almost like he's long-arming the ball or trying to elevate it over the line. When that happens, his accuracy suffers and his passes sail high. He seemed to fix his mechanical problems in the 2nd half of the game and then he threw that pick in the end zone.

I think that's why people were guessing early in the game that he might have caught whatever flu bug was going through the team. He just didn't seem like his usual fired up self. He didn't even seem pissed, like he sometimes is when he's frustrated.

I had the same thought too. When Brady is going to have a bad day, you can usually tell right away by the accuracy on his first few passes. He was way off yesterday, I don't know what the problem was.

But I guarantee he won't be throwing another 3 INT game in the Superbowl.

Mentioned this in the other thread--this is one time where I think everyone is right, there WAS something off. Either sick, or a case where the agonizing pressure of this season got to him a bit, or, most likely, a little of both.
