Default Super Bowl Uniform Selection [mergedx2]

My apologies if this topic has been discussed - delete or merge as needed.

If I am not mistaken, the AFC Champion is considered the Home Team this year. Which means they get to chose which uniform they will wear. It would behoove the Patriots to wear their Away (Whites) instead of their Home (Blues).

The Giants have been an amazingly efficient Road Team this year. Forcing them into their Home (Blues) uniform might a have a mild effect on their psyche. Although they are officially the visiting team, making them take the field dressed as the Home Team might impact their performance - ever so slightly.

Every little thing helps, or not?

If we opted to do that it wouldn't be anything new. The Steelers won all three of their playoff games on the road prior to SB XL and they were the home team so they decided to wear their road uni's. Perhaps a better case of gamesmanship is back in the 2003 season when we wore our silver alternative uni's at home versus the Cowboys, forcing them to dump their famous white jerseys in favor of the not-so famous dark blue jerseys.

Which is what gave me the idea. No original thoughts here.

Which I've been told makes them very uncomfortable and puts them at a disadvantage.

I don't think BB will care what jerseys we wear TBH. With him likely being apathetic the ultimate decision will be up to the PR people. The blue jersey sells better and with your team being showcased infront of an audience of +300 million you'll want to wear your signature shirts.

Why would you think that? Despite it being the Giants' most important game of the regular season, Pats fans occupied a third of the seats in Giants Stadium.

possibly - but I think it will be pretty even - NOTHING like if the pack had won, we would have been awash in cheeseheads.

One word: Throwbacks.

In what way was it the Giants "most important game of the regular season"? It was just the opposite in that they'd clinched anything they could get and couldn't gain any ground. It turned into a classic but...
