Re: Is the NE/SD game still the 'real superbowl?'
New England/Indy was supposed to be the "real" super bowl a few years ago, and Carolina gave the Pats everything they wanted and then some in the game, including leading the game in the 4th quarter.
Rams/Eagles was supposed to be the "real" super bowl in 2001. That didn't work out so well.
Packers/Niners was supposed to be the "real" super bowl in 1998, but John Elway had a little something to say about that.
Giants played the Patriots really well just a couple of weeks ago.
Except for the Seahawks, everyone in the final 8 this year has been an exceptional team in my opinion. Winning 3 of the final 7 games of the year is a ridiculously hard accomplishment, and I have no doubt that any of the 4 remaining is good enough to have it in them to have done so when we look back.
