It's not old news every sports outlet is talking about it,so I guess Chargers fans ignore and hopes it goes away..
I guess it's old news because it's essentially the same story line re-hashed since mid season. It obviously hasn't affected the Chargers play in any way... in fact they've progressively gotten better since mid season.
If the trash talking and acting class-less brought that change on, then I say, bring more of it on. I could really care less.

I dunno Boltsfan, I think Patsrule is right on target.
After all, didn't LaDainian Tomlinson make the whole "Patriots Don't Have My Class" a front and center topic after last year's playoff game?
He didn't make it front and center really... the media did. He spoke out of frustration, anger, whatever and he later regretted. I can guarantee you it wasn't his intention to make it a front & center topic.
But this goes back to my other point... this stuff is OLD... this incident from last year. It's all being re-hashed because they need to write and talk about something before Sunday.
Stuff like this, i.e. the thoughtless comment from LT that you mentioned, have been going on in sports (not just football) since time began. Like Phil Simms said this week, "Thank God there weren't cameras around when I played. I said a lot worse stuff." This is from another HOF player and a NYG hero.
What would constitute talking and acting like the Chargers? I don't really sit around watching other teams press conferences, but from what I've seen of the Chargers press conferences, it's just a bunch boring small talk - "The Patriots are good, The Patriots are the best team in the NFL, Lets get it on, yadda, yadda, yadda......"
In general the press conferences aren't worth watching regardless of what team is being featured.

I think it is that our organizations are polar opposites. We have NEVER heard any Pats player talk about another opponent unless it's glowing (and that includes Cleo freakin Lemon). When you watch a Chargers game all they seem to do is dance and yap. I must have also heard 10 different analyst in the last few weeks say things like, "Do they ever shut up", "I've never seen a team celebrate nothing so much" etc...
I think that Classy really put the spotlight on everything. He wanted to be the one who sets the rules and everyone on his team does the opposite. They have, very wisely, shut their mouths this week except for Igor. But Norv had to get upset and actually explain this to them. Did they not learn their lesson week 2?
We all saw last year at this time Merriman saying he was going to personally rip Tom's head off. Nice. 2 days later, the Pats, who have NEVER said anything are pieces of crap. Irony is a funny lady.
10 years ago people don't talk about trash talking... they talk about football. But I suppose in this world of crotch shots and an endless barrage of cameras, this is what football has become. And as long as people keep talking about it, ESPN, CBS, etc. will have every incentive to show you even more incidents of trash talking.
I posit that the amount of trash talking by all teams and all kinds of players have not changed much in football. It's just that for some strange reason people are paying attention to it more. I'd rather be talking about football. But that's just me.
There are certainly other teams that talk a lot of junk but nobody in the Chargers league. I would say Pitt, Cincy, Dallas are all up there and none of them are even remotely close to the Bolts.
Indy and NE is an example of a rivalry with very little trash talking between the players.

There's only two conclusions for Patriots fans on rookies. They are either a bust or being fitted for their bust in Canton.

Good question... maybe it's my sense that the Ying and Yang must be balanced in the world and I need to provide the other viewpoint. Who knows?
I would rather that we talk about football and all this cr@p about class and trash talking goes away. Not from embarrassment mind you, cause I'm not embarrassed at all about it. Like I said in the other post, this stuff started to come to life in the middle of the season and if that's the catalyst for our improved performance, bring more of that ***** on.
It's just so stupid to talk about when I'd rather discuss whether Cromartie should be 1-on-1 vs. Moss or not. So this will be my last post on this topic.

So what your saying is the fan base does not care if their team acts like punks. That would make sense after reading the crap on your forum.
Not too long ago Charger fans had bags over their heads trashing the team.
They go on a 8 game winning streak with only 2 of the teams with winning records and now they are all back on the wagon..I get it
The thing is I don't believe we trash talk more than any other team, in fact probably less since our only real talkers are Cromartie and Rivers. We like to celebrate, and Seau is the king of the celebration after a tackle 15 yards downfield. San Diego enjoys celebration, we enjoyed it when Seau was in SD and we enjoy it now with the Lights Out dance, Shaun Phillips strike pose, and Marquess Harris' backflip.
I believe you have to make a distinction between the two. If people take it as a slight that's their decision.
Do you do high 5's in the stands after a good play is made? Are you intending to demean the opposing fans by doing so, obviously not. Well our players display that emotion on the field.
You have 5 soundbites of our trash talking, that the media loops for you to hear over and over until you believe were a completly trashy team.
1. Merriman's comment during the Jets game
2. Tomlinson's post game classy comments
3. Tomlinsons 9/10 comment
4. Olshasnky's They know what's up
5. Rivers coping Denver Fans "Incomplete" chant to Cutler after an incompletion.
