Exclamation Coach Belichick - A Brand New Day - Team Meeting 1-17-08

*HUMOR* A Brand New Day – Coach Belichick Team Meeting In Preparation for the Chargers Game 1-17-08

Coach Belichick: Good morning. Team. Please take your seats. Do it quickly and quietly. Welcome to the first day of your new playoff lives. This is no longer a bird course. The bird has flown. If you want to win this next game, if you want to beat the Chargers, you gonna have to earn it,'cause I have no problems not one. Sitting each and every one of you.
Tedy Bruschi: Yo. I never thought this was no bird course.
Coach Belichick: I'm glad for you. Very, very glad 'cause this is a new day. Things are going to be a little different around here.
Jabar Gaffney: Oh. Yeah?
Coach Belichick: Uh-huh.
Jabar Gaffney: Like how?
Coach Belichick: Like when I talk Ja-bar. You don't.
[Some teammates passed notes around and when it got to Matt Light, he giggled. Coach Belichick walks to him and points to the note]
Coach Belichick: Is this somethin' you wanna share with the rest of the team?
Matt Light: No. I'm just kickin' it with my boy.
Coach Belichick: Well. I'll tell you what. You gonna kick it with me. Or I'm gonna kick you out. What you think of that? Put 'em away.
[Junior Seau is looking in his duffle bag and putting on a bandage on his leg]
Coach Belichick: And you. This is not Pop Warner, Miss Thing. You want to beat that mug of yours. You do it before you come to my meeting. You understand me? Put it away.
[Laurence Maroney has his head down on his desk]
Coach Belichick: And you. Maroney. I like you a lot. But I don't want you catchin' z's in my meetings no more.
Laurence Maroney: I be tired. I got a job l...
Coach Belichick: Baby, save it for Oprah. This is a brand-new day ladies and gentlemen. A brand-new day. We're gonna start with respect. You're gonna respect me and I'm gonna respect you.
[Randy Moss has his sunglasses on, hiding in the back of the room]
Coach Belichick: and you miss thing. There is no sun in this room and you will not get a tan take off those shades. This is a brand-new day ladies and gentlemen. A brand-new day.

Uh, like when you sit in team meetings, you do nothing but kick it, and you just "fly right through the meeting"

I've posted humor pieces in the past that bombed horribly. It's nice to see someone else do it.
