Default Blow Out coming???

In light of the recent comments from both Spicer and Delrio, do you feel that a whooping is coming down on the jagoffs. I know they are not a bad team and all, but they are certainly not a powerhouse either. Thier big, but so slow. I just can't see them going head to head with Moss and Welker and Asante. It is also in our house on a decent day for passing and no doubt a very hostile envioment due to the "spearing" comments. I'm seeing a big score here guys. Your thoughts?

Its the playoffs, it is foolish to expect anything but hard fought, tough, and close game.

I realize that, but somehow this feels different.

I don't think it will be close by the end of the game.

Yeah, if I remember correctly, the Pats had a hard time stopping Jones-Drew last year and the Pats got pretty dinged up in the process. I expect more of the same this Saturday...but with the same result. A Pats win.

I think most of it depends on the pressure they can create. Without Stroud and possibly other people up front, I have my doubts. The Pats are a very good offense versus the blitz too. I wouldn't hold my breath thinking that the Jags' defense can stop the Pats.

I am still not willing to bet on that. It's the playoffs, anything can happen, the bounce of the ball, the timing of penalties, the mood of the officials, the officials' angles of sight on specific plays down the field, turnovers, etc. Too many variables. I know when to say "no thanks" to a bet.

But if I were forced to pick a score it would have to be a double-digit win for the Pats. I think 10-14 points is reasonable.

I also like David Garrad as a human being, but I cannot buy into his game management style as a way to win a championship. To win a championship you need to take more risks than he does. I am not impressed with scrambling ability, in general, as it seems more a result of broken containment than anything else. The Pats generally don't break down like that so I just don't expect him to have much success on the ground.

The question is: What has he got in his tank to win a game with his arm when his team is 2-3 TDs behind? I just don't see it.

Between them and the Chargers I see a big drop off at QB between them and their opponents this weekend. Let's face it - QB does count. Let's also face it - Garrad is no Randall Cunningham with his legs, and Randall never won a championship despite being a pretty good pocket passer.

Anybody seeing a Jags' win Saturday either has a crystal ball or is suffering a dementia type thing.

Over the least few weeks, the Pats only played a solid complete game against Pitt, imho.
Miami was junk, and the 21 pt win could have been 51.

I think JDR will be outcoached, similar to Tomlin, but I think Jax's balance could result in a NYG type game.
The Pats gave up 28 to Eli and the Giants w/o Shockey.

Although, if they win by 14, I consider that a blowout in the playoffs.

I like Gerard also, but going head to head with Brady. NO F'n way he even comes close. I'm not looking to bet on the game or anything, it's just that I have this "gut" feeling that the Pats and BB are really pissed with this team now. I don't care if they win by one, but feel it's going to be much much more.

Quick: name a Jag DB..... How about a Jag receiver?
Even if Garrard has a career day it isn't enough. Brady goes through that defense like a hot knife through butter. Jags run tough but if everything goes right--and I don't think it will because I have too much confidence in the NE defense--they get 24 points. That's not gonna be nearly enough against Brady et al. Pittsburgh got 29 on 'em and Roethlisberger had 4 TOs (3 picks). Sorry but I just cannot buy the Jags as a serious threat.
