It's great and this is why: you two go into much deeper detail than what we'll ever find on espn, FoxSports, CBS Sports, etc., because of two very important factors:

First, you're almost exclusively following just one team so your knowledge and understanding of the Pats is 100x greater than that of any national media member - despite the very deep pocketed resources those organizations have at their disposal.

Second, they have to cater to the masses in order to maximize ratings. That means they can't get as heavy into X's and O's or else they'll lose the majority of their audience - casual fans who don't know and don't care to learn what a term like Wham means in football terminology.

Bottom line is that your podcasts are 'like porn for Pats fans' - can't get enough of it. Deep insightful conversation about the Pats is rare and very much appreciated, especially by those like myself who live outside of New England.

When there is no pre-snap tell it forces a defense to be honest. The most obvious coverage dictator outside my two previous points is the body factor. It's really hard to get a press and pass against a 6'7 275lb mongloid unless you dedicate a d-lineman. That forces 34 defenses to get away from their primary principals and forces teams to get away from what they do best. Obviously, this is classic Belichick, as it forces removal from comfort. Further, he presents an incredible matchup problem. He's too strong for an OLB to press, and too big for a DB to matchup. What it creates is a declaration of intent that forces the defense to become predictable and to open up the routes outside the hashes. Was that helpful or was I rambling?

First, let me say thanks for a highly complimentary post. It means a lot coming from a poster like yourself. Towards the umms and uhhs, it comes from a lack of prep on my part. I did that Podcast off the top of my head, and could have done a much better job. I'll get it shored up for Ravens week
