I was joking.
BB diagrammed plays from the stands for his dad, a highly regarded scout, when he was a young boy, 8-9. His dad's book on the subject
became a kind of Bible on the matter.

His Dad forsook opportunities higher up to provide stability for his family,
holding out at the Naval Acadamy.
BB's first pro job was for Marchibroda, in Baltimore as a film guy.
25$ a week.
Belichick does discipline, study and analysis
in his sleep, at a level nobody can touch.

So, I would watch 30 hours a week of him talking about this stuff.
Hell, I would settle for One hour right now.

Like Mozart playing the piano at three, Orr on skates at 3.
Some guys take to things early, don't let go, don't get distracted.
they end up leaving a mark.

The stuff is from a bit of vague memory, I am due to read Holly's great book
on the Reign again, as the great BB has them apparently about to Reign again.
hope I didn't stomp any facts badly.
I really am wired up, Like I am going to be playing next week.
heh. Lucky for us, I will not.

Losing the game would suck, but it would be nowhere near the 2005-2007 losses, IMO.
Arguably 05 is worse because of the expectations (not just the SB but the three-peat SB). An argument, though, could be made that a Jet loss would be worse simply due to the expectation of closing the loud mouth of the HC on our most heated division rival, coupled with how well we have played for 2 months, the 5 year SB victory drought vs 2 in a row for 05). There is no outside argument like that for the 07 loss. It deserves its own category. What game losing scenario could be more stinging than that? One would have to do some creative thinking to come up with more stinging scenarios.

Creative thinking?
A jester Super Bowl would slap the nation's soul repeatedly, endlessly,
mercilessly, without remorse, without conscience, class or even the most minimal sense
of common decency, provide a collective experience so vile, that this great people,
as one, would beseech the Good Lord to deliver the blessed B and BB again apace to "running up the score".

Humble prediction for next weeks game:
Pats Jets? This nation, forced by circumstance to root for the Patriots, will generate a critical mass of collective cognitive dissonance so vast that it may breach the event horizon of the space time continuum enough to permit Time Travel.

I have a Phone Booth prepared for that very eventuality.
Mr Rodney Harrison is due a key bit of data relevant to a
significant moment in time.

Every time I read your posts, my brain turns your words into a rap song. I hear Eminem. Is that your intent? Not criticizing, just something I've noticed.

So the 2-TE set was a shock to the Jets when they played in Dec? Is Dilfer trying to say that the Jets didn't watch any film on the Pats prior to the game?......becaue it was pretty obvious going into the game the Pats have two great weapons in the two rookies and the Jets would need to find a way to stop it. I love how Dilfer is trying to make excuses for the Dec game.
Dilfer has a disturbing mancrush on Sanchez, so his Jet bias is maybe the worst of all the media.

Yup

All you need to see is this:

Quote:
Trent Dilfer: He was on Colin Cowherd’s show this morning and offered up this analysis of Mark Sanchez: “Mark Sanchez is playing … top 6-7-8 QBs in this league. I’m just looking at the tape and grading plays … he’s in the top third in the league in playing QB right now. In the last two drives and overtime, he was 10-for-13 – really 10-for-12, since one was a spike – for 130 yards and rushing TD … if Tom Brady, Drew Brees or Philip Rivers does that yesterday, it’s one more [notch?] on their Hall of Fame wall. For some reason, we don’t want to give Mark Sanchez the same credit. It’s ridiculous.” After Sanchez beat Penn State in the Rose Bowl in 2009, we said Sanchez should be the No. 1 pick. Three months later, Dilfer professed his love for Sanchez. Worth noting: Dilfer and Sanchez share the same agent (David Dunn).

I love how the experts all predict closer game.
Um...how can it not be closer?
The Jersey Jets really sucked last time.
They may score a touchdown this time.

LT only played well because they were in that stupid dome, he wont be affective in that cold weather in Foxboro. Sanchez will be terrible as well. This is exactly how I wanted to be. Jets are the easiest route and then hopefully the Steelers.

This is exactly how we want it?

Of course it's going to be closer than 45-3. The only way it won't be is if we score 50, and how many times do teams score 50 in the playoffs? Last I remember is the Jags crushing the Dolphins late 90s (Fred Taylor was in that game too )

The Jets could not run on us in the last meeting and we were without Wright/Pryor then. Now we're without Wright/Brace but Pryor should be back. Sanchez has been even more awful lately and maybe part of it has to do with the shoulder injury. Defense needs to take advantage of that and keep it rolling, they have momentum right now over the past couple months and they're the key... as good as our offense is, you count on defense in January.
