Default Unsung hero tonight = Maroney

tom, kevin, randy, wes, they all had incredible games. maroney averaged 2.3 yards per carry, but those runs looked nice. all the hits in the backfield, i believe they were the fault of the offensive line (which is an entirely different subject). every time he ran and didnt get hit in the backfield, he nailed the hole with no hesitation. a lot of the qualities that were irking me about him earlier in the season are starting to disappear, and he is running his ass off. IMO, best 46 yards he's ever gotten.

I have to go with Kevin Faulk as the unsung hero. He got some BIG first downs.

No doubt. The one thing I agree with Collinsworth is that he has become the new Troy Brown. The completely unsung constant contributor. I know Welker is a similar receiver, but he is obviously more talked about.

Chris called him a "special player."
I gotta agree

Maroney is starting to show that he can do a lot with decent blocking.

We don't need him to be perfect, we just need more of his good ten yard runs and goal line mojo.

Faulk took many years to show his potential, and it was because the coaching staff knows when to hold them, and when to fold them. They kept Faulk around to earn his keep.

Maroney is starting to be a factor in each game.

Here's to a good playoffs for maroney!

There were lots of guys who redeemed themselves for big plays after not playing so well.

Maroney's lack of momentum for SO MANY runs was incredibly frustrating to watch and I was getting quite disgusted.

But I have to be fair and ask if it was poor play calling - or poor OL play (it can be tough for an RB to have momentum if he's given the ball and then finds himself face to face with Giants linemen behind the line of scrimmage) or Maroney's indecision.

Probably a little bit of all of it - but while I'm glad Maroney redeemed himself I think the Defense that allowed the offense to have 20+ unanswered points until the 4th Q TD for the Giants collectively deserves this ball.

I'm with you on this one. Maroney performed well, but Kevin Faulk carried the team to needed first downs and kept key drives going.

We've seen all of these starters do stuff like this before. They deserve a great deal of credit, but Ryan O filled a big pair of shoes tonight. He's my unsung hero.
