Default why pats are really the best team ever

just look at the records....

most points in a season
most td's in a season
most wins in a reg season
most players with a td in a season
team with most points scored on offense and least points allowed on defense
team with the largest point differential in a season

now get this, all those 6 major records belonged/belong to DIFFERENT TEAMS

the first one to the 98 vikes
the second to 74 or 84 fins (b4 the pats broke it yesterday)
the third to 72 fins (b4 we broke it yesterday)
the fourth by two different teams (not named above)
the fifth by a team not named above
the sixth by a team not named above

in short, they all belong to different teams----yet the pats can easily break all of them this yr, ONE team, owning ALL these records

theres ur proof if u ever need any of why this is the best team to ever be assembled in the game of football

and in the free agency and cap era by the way

Records are great, however, I don't put much stock in them... This is the regular season, I care about how they handle themselves in the POSTSEASON... If they go undefeated in the regular season, break all those records you mentioned, and then lose without winning a SB this year, it will be a highly disappointing year and will leave a bad, bitter taste in my mouth...

EDIT TO ADD: I wouldn't forget what the ultimate goal is and it's not a undefeated year, or breaking all the records.. It's winning the Super Bowl...

ohh, no question about it

if the pats dont win superbowl, i wont bring up the best team ever talks

the post was made assuming the pats win the superbowl, something that ALL good teams (and sum bad ones) have done

but if it happens, then the pats really are a lock, u cant just break records like that off a whim

19-0 is the only record that would matter.

no team has been able to do it, and we've seen some really really really great teams fail to do it

regardless if we win the bowl or not (and we had better!), the pats will go down as the best regular season team ever. its not much, but its something
