Looking at Kirwan's x/o diagrams, it prompts me to ask: how do linemen and QB set protections? For example, take diagram 1, I suppose it matters how the DL lines up (I don't know the "technique" numbers), but looking at the NT: do Mankins and Koppen set who is primarily responsible for that gap in case someone blitzes through the other A gap as in Diagram 2? I know it could be a big question, but how does that all work?
