Incredible that Kirwan thought Mankins got beat like a rented mule by Raji, when all in the game thread know that didn't, and couldn't ever, happen.

I remember Raji making 2 plays.
On one of them, Koppen and Mankins both thought the other one was going to take him. Such a miscommunication doesnt add up to beaten like a rented mule to me, but I have not gone back and watched the tape.

Looking at Kirwan's x/o diagrams, it prompts me to ask: how do linemen and QB set protections? For example, take diagram 1, I suppose it matters how the DL lines up (I don't know the "technique" numbers), but looking at the NT: do Mankins and Koppen set who is primarily responsible for that gap in case someone blitzes through the other A gap as in Diagram 2? I know it could be a big question, but how does that all work?
