Default anyone else sick of the overuse of the term "pro bowl snub"?

I don't know about you, but I am sick of the overuse of the term 'snub' in reference to Pro Bowl selections.

There should be a rule that for every guy that the media declares a snub, the media must also mention the guy who he should replace.

For instance, Clinton Portis is a Pro Bowl snub because he should be in over Marion Barber.

Wes Welker is NOT a Pro Bowl snub. He has Pro Bowl worthy numbers, but is not a snub. I wouldn't remove any of the four receivers for him. If, in your opinion, you would remove one of the four receivers for him, then you would be accurate in calling him a snub.

I think the proper term that the media should use would be "Pro Bowl worthy" or "honorable mention".

P.S. Sammy Sosa was not snubbed of the single season home run record. He just happened to hit more home runs than the all time record, but he did it in the same season that someone else did (and that person got more).

okay, I think I am done with my rant

Whoever Light got in ahead of was snubbed. Light was, in a sense, anti-snubbed. Or he was snubbing, perhaps.

I think that the Pro Bowl is stupid anyway, and nobody should be getting upset over anything that has to do with the Pro Bowl. It's a huge joke, really, and that's all it is.

Joe Thomas was snubbed in favor of Light.

Marques Colston was snubbed in favor of Donald Driver. Heck, Greg Jennings was snubbed by Driver.

A sarcastic Bill Belichick on Tom Brady's finger injury, "It's not life threatening."
