Default The Patriots Biggest SuperBowl Threat

Its obvious we can move the ball and score against the best defenses the NFL has to offer.

But can we beat teams with top notch offenses? So far the answer has been yes. But its been very VERY close on two occasions (San Diego and Indy). The shootout with Buffalo didnt look good, and neither did the game vs. Detroit until the 4th Qtr.

Come playoff time I think we own the teams with good D's. Pitts, NYJ, Baltimore (we improved so much since our last game with them).

The potential problem teams I see are the Saints, Eagles, Colts, and Chargers (if they make it).

I agree that teams with top notch offenses will give us bigger problems than anyone else but isn't that always the case?

I am confident in this young playmaking D. I am confident that they will cause a game changing turnover and the Pats top of the top notch offenses will make the opponent suffer by scoring a TD.

Probably the Colts or the Chargers, maybe the steelers and ravens if they can figure our offense out.

the colts and chargers can hang with us in scoring, peyton manning in particular is capable of putting up 30 on us.

really no team is going to be easy in the playoffs, but if we wrap up the #1 seed, our first week we will have 2 weeks to prepare for a home game.

the patriots have already beaten almost everyone they could potentially face in the afc.

if he patriots got to the superbowl, id be worried about the eagles, falcons and saints, maybe the packers if they get healthy.

The only 2 teams that scare me at all is the Ravens and the Colts. We have Pitts number, JEST, KC, SD, or JAX at home will be blowouts. Peyton might have some recievers back by then(if they make the playoffs)and the Ravens came up here and beat us bad last year, they will have no pressure and both a decent offense and defense.

Chargers scare me in terms of getting a pass rush. The colts scare me because they might get calls from the refs.I also worry about the ravens as well because i am sure they wanna play us.

Im actually hoping the Chiefs win the rest of their games and take that division!

Rather face the colts than the chargers again. But we will be at home so that is always an advantage!

the only teams that worry me are the teams who could throw for 450 yards against us and win 42-35 or something. if we have a weakness that can be exploited, it's the secondary

(yeah yeah we have looked better the last 2 weeks, but 1 was vs an awful Jets pass offense and the other was in a blizzard vs a mediocre pass offense. where almost all offenses (besides ours) fail)

we haven't yet shown an ability to be able to slow down a good passing offense. Rivers threw for 336, the Colts put up points, the Bills put up points, etc

so, the Chargers, Colts, Saints, and Eagles

The biggest threat to a patriot SuperBowl is the play of the patriots. This team is clearly capable of winning easliy if we play our best. The issue is that we must play at a top level for three games in a row.

Obviously, this can be done. It is just as obvious that the team can beaten on a day where they are not at their best.

I dont know how anyone would be worried about Manning in Foxboro in January....especially with their defense.
