actually the offense struggled in the 2nd half of that game too.just sanchez sinked them so far behind that the jets didnt do anything.

Beating someone 2 out of 3 times certainly doesn't mean you have their number. The rex ryan defense certainly works better against brady then manning but in no way does rex have his number.

Not exactly true.

- Against the Jets in the second game last year, Brady was 28 for 41 (68.3% completion percentage) for 310 yards and a TD. That is far better than Brady did the next week against the Saints (21 for 36 for 237, no TDs, and 2 INTs) or three weeks later against Carolina (19 for 32 for 192 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT) or the week after that against Buffalo (11 for 23 for 115 yards, 1 TD, and 1 INT)
- Although Brady didn't have a great game vs. the Ravens in 2007 (18 for 38 for 257 with 2 TDs and 1 INT), I think it had a lot to do with the weather. There was a hurricane type winds and Kyle Boller only managed to complete 15 for 23 for 210 yards, 2 TDs, and 1 INT.

Besides, it isn't a great sample size. He faced Ryan as a coordinator once and as a head coach three times. He is 2-2 vs. Ryan in those capacities. In one of the 4 games, Brady had a very good game (although he only threw for one TD, the offense scored 24 points with Maroney running in two goalline TDs) in one of those games. I don't know if you can really argue that Rex Ryan has Brady's number based on the sample size.

Quick! Name all the games where the offense didn't struggle in the second half last year. Can't think of any? Kinda funny if you can't since there was only two or three games where the Pats didn't struggle in the second half on offense last year.

I don't think you can blame the Pats' second half struggles in last year's games with the Jets on Brady not figuring out Rex Ryan's defense unless you think his inability to figure out Ryan's defense is the reason why the Pats offense struggled in the second half of almost all their games last year.

P.S. in the fourth quarter, the Pats ran the ball more than they passed to protect the lead. On drive ended in the fourth quarter because BJGE lost a yard on 3rd and 2 (not Brady's fault). A delay of game penalty killed their chance of converting a third down in the 3rd (that was a frequent problem last year against a lot of defenses).

We've been waiting for longer routes to develop since Moss has been our primary receiver. Our success the last few weeks has been through quick developing routes, mixing it up and getting rid of it. Nothing Ryan has seen applies now, so that's dumb of Jaws, he should know better.

Right. Agreed totally. This is what makes our offense so deadly, quick intermediate routes. last time we needed the time for Moss to get downfield and make plays. I can see our offense really mixing some things up this time around. Belichick will find ways around the blitz.

Great job finding those conflicting sources- hopefully people who see this will understand that the media (not just sports) isn't smarter or knowledgeable than most of us. They are not infallible, and one should always retain one's critical judgement.
