Johnson is one of my favorite non-Patriots to watch. He'd make a good Patriot - he's a stud wideout without the headache. What a beast.
I'd take Andre or Calvin, or perhaps Roddy White, who is beasting this year.

I'm getting tired of everyone calling Andre Johnson the best in the game, he isn't anymore. Calvin Johnson is, in my opinion, the best. DeSean Jackson, Greg Jennings, and Roddy White come after him.
Way different than the usual Andre Johnson, Fitzgerald, Randy Moss, Reggie Wayne talk.
I think the team is best served by Butler and Arrington splitting the reps based on matchups and schemes ... no need to choose for the rest of the season.
Butler had key coverage on Wayne 2 plays before the Sanders pick. If that pass is completed, the game likely turns out very different (Colts at the 21 with a minute to go and 3 timeouts...instead of at the 24 and 2 timeouts after burning 20+ seconds). Hopefully Butler has used the last several weeks of practice well, since it looks like he is the next one up across from McCourty.
Was that the play where Butler still didnt turn back for the ball?
The INC had more to do with Mannings pass being off target. Butler got lucky on that one.
I'd like to see Butler get the spot back, so far he and Edelman are the only real disappointments of the brilliant '09 draft. Both should be making more contributions this year based on the glimpses we saw from last year. For future purposes too, while Arrington has been okay Butler has the higher ceiling. That said, whatever BB decides is cool with me

Arrington had a tough half against a top 5 WR in wayne.
experience he will learn and move on.
what did butler do in his chance.
also we do not rotate corners. a reason when wayne moved inside in the slot he was matched up against chung a thing i want to see them change by pulling merriweather in and pat falling down as the safety.
next time/
i saw taht too...why wouldn't we bring in a 3rd CB in that case???
we were doing it all night, and it really started hurting us in the second half
also, on that last Wayne incomplete...Butler was stride for stride w/ Wayne, which made manning throw it futher than he wanted, which in turn resulted for the incompletion...after all it was butler jumping ON wayne after that made the ball fall loose....

Yep you really show your football knowledge and help your argument when you call a 7th round draft choice, one who played a lot in his rookie year. A year in which he changed from a qb to a wide receiver, a "real disappointment"
Plus, and this doesn't just apply to you, but how do you all know that Butler has a "higher ceiling" I keep hearing this over and over, but I haven't seen very much that showed me he was even as good as Arrington, I think you are just basing this on his draft position, rather than how well he played.

We played a lot of zone so it's hard to compare the two guys, but for what it's worth, Wayne had 7 targets, 5 catches for 77 yards and a TD in the first half with Arrington on his side vs. 4 targets, 3 catches for 30 yards in the second half with Butler in. Not really conclusive, but not a significant difference to fear Butler playing either.
I think Butler's more talented, but inconsistent in run support. Hopefully he's improved in that area.

A player who regresses from year 1 to year 2 is a disappointment in year 2. But let's get our panties in a bunch
EDIT: I just re-read my post and see how it might have came off wrong. I meant they were both disappointments for THIS season based upon what they showed last season. Of course, for a 7th rounder to not contribute alot is not a major disappointment overall
