Please i am not saying i had anything to do with it like apricissimus is suggesting !!! lol, all i am saying is that i cant forget that kick at all and that for me it was a defining moment. As for God, well sorry i prayed and got what i asked for coz in that snow storm i didnt think Adam had a chance. I also dont believe i was the only one praying that moment. Again my point is that THE kick meant a lot and for me it still sticks in my mind all the time.
Abdul, please don't let these self-satisfied elites tell you how you should or should not have felt. Thank you for your post. You're a good fan.

I can relate to the feeling, although I am an atheist. That win over the Raiders was a defining moment in Patriots history for me, it was the greatest game in Patriots history for me.
I feel so strongly about that game because it really felt like divine retribution over our demons, and the Raiders, who stole one from us the same way in 1976.
Without that game, who knows how things turn out. Maybe pretty much the same, maybe not. But I felt like we deserved that moment because up until then everything always blew up in our face.
It felt like the start of our dynasty. And it was.
So God didn't like anyone on the Raiders? I can only assume God would rather let his children decide the outcome than choose who he preferred.
God hates the Raiders just like almost everyone else outside of Oakland.

After we got the call overturned on the "tuck," i knew we were going to win. By the time we lined up for that field goal, I was wasted and didn't realize the enormity of that kick. That Super Bowl was llike 10 New Year's Eves, 10 Birthdays and 10 Christmases rolled into one day.
The Almighty God was on our side that moment and helped blow the ball just over
There is no god and if there was I can't imagine he'd give a ***** whether or not someone made a field goal, jeesh what an ignorant statement and an even more ignorant post.
Why humans persist in believing in the supernatural is beyond me.
I only wish I had the deep confident insight into the universe that some posters claim.

Just cause the guy mentioned god a few times doesn't mean you have to attack him for his beliefs. The uknown is the uknown, you know no more then anyone else. This is not even the forum for this discussion anyway.
As for the kick, It is IMO the greatest kick in Football History. I am not sure when, But I will probably be dead and gone before another one is made that will rival it in sheer improbability. Deffinitly one of my fondest Sports memories.

I was so ticked at Brady's apparent fumble I popped out the tape I had been recording and had the notion of devising some cathartic-but-safe means of destroying the thing. After several minutes futile searching, I gave up and decided to turn on the TV one last time to bid farewell to the season. Just then I saw the ref announcing the call reversal and slammed that tape back in to resume recording. God or not, I thought that was a fairly remarkable bit of fortune/coincidence...

Wether or not God helped you/us/them doesn't matter. what matters is that it meant allot to you, and you shared it with us. Thank you for that......
