Default Eugene Wilson a healthy scratch --- PFW

PFW in Progress has a very interesting discussion of Eugene Wilson, around the 35 minute mark of the 11/27 edition. They say that coming out of college, he had the rep (according to one of his coaches) of being talented but not hard working (weight room, film study, etc.). In college he had a great sophomore year, good junior year, mediocre senior year, similar to the pattern in his pro career. They paint a picture of someone who doesn't work hard enough to get better, and may have been hurt by his rookie success.

Apparently Wilson was a healthy scratch vs. Philly, making him our 9th best DB. PFW predicts he'll disappear from the NFL after his current contract is up.

If his problem was attitude/effort, I don't think it would pop up during his contract year. Health is a much more likely cause.

I find it amusing that all this speculation abounds around a team that tells the media nothing related to a player's health, playing status, and playing capabilities. In other words, any post on Wilson is nothing more than spitting into the wind. Nothing in this thread or in the news is accurate related to this player.
