And what is your point? Is it fair to compare Maroney's YPC running in an offense that has Tom Brady at QB to LT who has Phillip River at QB? How about Adrian Peterson with Tavares Jackson at QB? How about Larry Johnson with Brodie Croyle? You can't compare. It's just like comparing Manning's TD stats last year with Harrison and Wayne to Brady who had Caldwell and Gaffney. Apples to oranges. Bottom line, Maroney is a JAG right now. A JAG.

And once again you change your argument. Don't you ever get tired of moving the goalposts?

Maroney is a DAM GOOD RB? Based on what? What does he do that is better than average? He is average in every facet of the position. Plus, he is a non-factor in the passing game. He stinks as a pass receiver. Stinks.

How are you going to compare "gameplans" of Schotty and Norv to BB's? Just because those two knuckleheads leave LT out of the gameplan doesn't mean BB would. You are comparing fords to a ferrari.

LT is very good, but way, way overrated. people dont give enough credit to their OLine.

look at how good Michael Turner has been in SD.

LT is far from being in a category all by himself

Last year the Chargers moved the ball well through the air.. your argument here is falling apart. I do agree Maroney is not doing much better than average. However that is a position they only need average at right now. (Hence 11-0). I do think they will take McFadden next year top 5 though.

Average is NOT the same as bad, or "DUD".

Somehow, now that NE didn't win by 20+ points Josh McDaniels sucks again, Maroney is garbage, the defense is a sieve and on and on.

Didn't NE just obliterate a Buffalo team that was also around .500 prior to the game? Didn't NE hold Indy to 20 points a few weeks ago? Haven't all other great teams played poorly against mediocre competition before? Didn't the same AJ Feeley that ripped NE's secondary do the exact same thing against the best team in NE's history with a far worse Miami team?

I'm all for critical analysis. Show me why WR X was able to come completely free and how it was really safety Y's job to watch for that route. Diagram how NE blitzed improperly prior to a 24 yard pass play. NE clearly played their worst game of the year.

But they still won. How in hell did we have any confidence in the 2003 and 2004 playoffs if we can't in this team? Shouldn't we have a little more perspective and let the next game happen before we decide that things were not just a bad day but harbringers of doom?

Sorry if this comes across as overly obnoxious, but I really am taken aback by the tone on Pats boards today.
Don't be sad, Oz. When a fan base expands rapidly some loonies with loose loyalties are bound to filter in. Small price to pay for the joy of watching this team perform. The Maroney situation will work itself out, and these people will be quieted. In the mean time, just laugh at the clowns and move on.

Ummm, it is when the guy is #21 pick in the entire draft. The guy is a JAG. That's all fine and dandy when you are a 4th rd pick, but not when you were a 1st rd pick. Hey, a Ford truck is a score for 12k. It's a rip-off for 40k. Maroney is a rip-off for the price we paid for him(a 1st rd pick!). I want my money back!!!!!!!

You clearly have an infatuation with Maroney. You can't go a sentence without mentioning him. It must be love.

What do you want from Maroney? This is a passing offense. Faulk is the better option when it comes to passing, so obviously Maroney shouldn't be in there. When he's run the ball, he's run it above averagely...so I don't really get what the Maroney-nay-sayers want...
