Default "Eagles Taking Right Attitude Into Sunday's Game"

http://philadelphiaeagles.com/news/S...4549&spadaro=1

i read a few andy reid press conf transcripts and he seems to the only coach i have heard say that their offense's goal is to score points not really play ball control. Every coach in this league seems to suggest the keep away approach.
This game could be closer than we think ? (How our perception has changed by this team from thinking 'can we win' to 'will it be closer' )

It's great that the Eagles are thinking this way, but I'm sorry, nothing short of miracle will keep the Patriots from walking all over them. They're simply overmatched....

Attitude is a good thing. I think a lot of Andy Reid's coaching acumen. I think the team, barring injuries and mistakes with FA/Cap, etc. could be a pretty good team. This year it ain't happening though.

They're banged up just where it counts the most going into a game with the Patriots - safety. Forget having to start Feeley, and having no real weapons besides Westbrook, they just won't be able to stop our offense.

On paper they are badly overmatched. The only thing that can save them is the possible Patriots letdown. The Pats just don't let down that often though. It's possible, but given the situation with the criticism of the coach and the possible 19-0 in front of them, and all the veterans on the team, I just don't think they'll let down.

Whomever opened their yaps over there in September are going to pay the price. The Pats are *horribly* focused for a team that can score at will and go home to read their plaudits all day long. I mean they are focused like a laser. The Eagles energy is scattered. They are dead meat on Sunday.

Yawn. Doesn't every team enter the game expecting to win? Look at all the super bowl blowouts. Did the losing team enter the game not expecting to win? This game will be over by halftime. 52-10.

The Patriots defense lives on bleeding you to death. They'll let you march down the field 5 yards at a time before they will give up the big play. The are patient and press when the time is right. The Pats don't give up too many big plays.

Dawkins and Sheppard have both been injured for most of the season. They'll both play Sunday night, but neither is at 100%.

not many teams have thrown the ball deep on us. 2 times the colts tried and got PI . i think philly will take a few more shots down the field.i have seen andy reid open the game with surprise plays like onside kicks and deep throws. As long as we negate them early like we have done with every opponent , we should be okay.

Score early, and score often. That method has worked well for the Patriots. Once the Pats get the early lead, Philly will feel the pressure. And that pressure will make the Eagles buckle in the second half.

Are we talking about beating the Patriots or beating the spread? I think the Eagles could beat the spread. Any given Sunday, as the saying goes, the opponents can lose by less than 20 points.
