Here is a link to a pretty good article by Leslie Visser on CBSSprortsline.com about the game:

Buffalo HC D Jauron held his usual 2:30 PC today (Wednesday) and touched on RB M Lynch's injured ankle. Jauron stated that Lynch's injured ankle was hurt more than initially thought, was "very sore" and that Jauron wasn't overly optimistic that Lynch would be able to go Sunday night.

This is a game that should be taken seriously. The Bills played out of their minds against the best team in the NFC. Schobel has owned the Pats OL in the past. He has more sacks of Brady than anyone else I think. Getting pressure on Brady is the only way to beat him.

Also the revenge factor for knocking Losman out of the game has me worried. Do they take a shot at Brady early in the game? Do they like their QB that much?

This could be a cold sloppy game. Can the Pats run the ball effectively enough if the elements slow down the passing game?

What is the game plan? Shut down the run and let JP beat you? Isn't that the usual procedure against this team?

How have BB coached teams done the game after the bye week?

Tired of the Colts talk. Let's discuss the upcoming game.

FWIW, I think this game is the game when the defense starts to ratchet it up.

The status of Lynch is very important to the Bills. Without him in the backfield, going will be tough for them.

I expect the usual good effort the Bills put out defensively whenever they play the Pats, but this one just isn't in the cards for them.

41 - 13, Pats.

The Bills run the same cover 2 defense that Indy does so key will be protecting Brady with just 5 OL. if the Pats OL can protect Brady without much help (like they did in the 4th Q against Indy) then Brady should be able to dissect the Bills secondary and score at will in this game. Even if the Pats have to help out the OL some Brady should still be able to put up 30 points.

If Lynch can't go, or if he's not 100%, then the Bills really don't have much on offense to cause the Pats to worry all that much. WR Lee Evans is the guy I would think BB would look to take out of the Bills offense. Control Evans and there's not much else to worry about (if Lynch is a no go).

I was thinking this about the "D" too. This is the time of year they usually start to become really dominant. If reports are true that Jauron thinks Lynch can't go, I don't see how Buffalo pulls this one out.

I am glad to see a few more responses to this thread! At 5PM EST, the front page of the message board has about a trillion threads on the Colts and other stuff and the rare thread about the upcoming game was way in the bottom.

I am going to single-handedly keep posting every other minute to keep this thread on the top! Ok ok, just kidding...

I always fear for Brady with Schoble(sp) coming off the edge. He's one of the toughest for Light to block. The Patriots should win comfortably but I wouldn't be surprised to see a tight game for 2 or 3 quarters.
Schobel is Brady's number 2 nightmare right behind Jason Taylor.

And maybe it's the other way around. I think Schobel gets after him more than Freeney or Taylor. What is it about that guy? He's a nightmare.

I think we're still in a bye-week hangover...have to shake it off!

I picture a whole lot of Ben Watson in this game. Outside of Whitner (one of the best scoffed-at draft picks ever), I just don't see the Bills' back 7 having any answer for him.

[QUOTE=BelichickFan;625293]Buffalo is decent at home and the night crowd will be noisy (until we get a nice lead, anyway) [QUOTE]

The crowd is incredible. My sig other is a Bills fan and I was at the Bills/Cowboys game. They will be noisy and on their feet. Hopefully the coach-quarterback equiptment will be working Sunday night

I am looking forward to the game and have been checking out the weather since I will be there Coming from California, though, I am more worried about me handling the cold weather than the Patriots!

One thing to remember is that the Bills will be down players (12 on IR and Lynch may be out). Losman didn't look that great against Miami but he is playing for his job and the team as a whole is playing to stay in the wild card hunt. Lynch is still a major loss for them if he doesn't play.

What concerns me, along with the retaliation potential, is how we played into the middle of the second quarter our first meeting this year in Foxboro. I don't remember being so dominant at the start of that game. Also, Roscoe is making some great returns for the Bills. Good field postion will help Losman, especially if he doesn't want to give us another safety

Nonetheless, I think it will still be a good outing for the Patriots. It is just that any given Sunday feeling that makes me nervous too.....
