Hmmm. Not buying it. I'd fall over in shock if Vincent Jackson ends up in a Patriots uniform at the end of the week.

Will do! We'll be there in December and it looks to get pretty chilly at night.

Please let this be true..........

Brandon Tate is just too small on that other side, he's a nice 3rd or 4th WR but not someone you want as your starter on the outside.

If you believe that supposive Patriots insider on the ESPN board (not that I do, but it is relative to the conversation), the Pats love Vincent Jackson.

I think Jackson would be perfect in this offense. Since it looks like Mankins would never play for this team again, if the Pats can trade straight up for the two then I would consider doing it. It would make the offense unstoppable and hopefully make Brady forget throwing to Moss repeatedly.

That said. I doubt it will happen.

We passed on Dez Bryant, Boldin and Brandon Marshall because BB put all of his eggs into Brandon Tate's basket. Again another head scratcher why we wouldn't have made a play for 2 of the 3 or drafted Dez, now we're stuck with the forces down field to Moss because again, we have an issue on the other side of the damn field, that wasn't addressed.

One question would be is how would Moss react to a Jackson trade (unless Randy went in the trade which would be stupid since the Pats would be without a primary WR for three games)? If he was smart, he would be a good soldier and play hard to get his next contract. But with any WR, there is always a chance this turns into a fight fir Brady's love. Jackson could be a problem too if the Pats don't give him a long term deal.

Passing on Dez Bryant was a good thing. Imagine this defense with Butler and Whilhite as the starting CBs. I am estatic with the McCourty pick. He has made a few rookie mistakes, but he looks to have the potential to be a dominant CB. My only significant complaint about him so far is that we can't clone him and replace Butler with his clone.

BTW, has Dez Bryant performed significantly better than Tate? I have been underwhelmed with Bryant's performance so far especially based on his hype.

You've been nothing but dismissive or combative to opinions that conflict with your own regarding the Mankins situation.

I thought you were perceptive enough to realize that "not having a deal" doesn't mean a deal wasn't tabled. Kraft intimated the offer to Mankins was of a similar nature to Mangold. Taken at his word, that reads that the Patriots were more than willing to pay their good little guard.

As for Jackson, perhaps you'd like to reference other "problem children" the Patriots have head business dealings with?

Stop pretending that you don't attack posters with your condescending and dismissive nature. It's unbecoming.
Generally?.....more than that..:....good points, and well said sir!

If you're on page 5 of this thread and haven't read the rest, it boils down to:

Brady already sucks with multiple receiving threats, adding one more to the mix means you didn't need to sign Brady because anyone can throw to these guys.
