Have a I missed something or is Seymour just returning from injury? If you expect him to be lean and at the top of his game I think your a bit of a nutter.

Important stat Green had 1 sack and very important strip at the end.

Also doesn't Seymour looks like he added some weight?
That's his job. There is no Seymour vs. Green, they're on the same team.

He's great to rotate in, resting Seymour. Seymour is better on other plays when he gets to rest on some of them, and a fresh Green may even be better -- at least on a passing down -- than a gassed Seymour straight-up. This factor may be bigger than usual right now because Seymour isn't fully in shape yet.

But that's as far as it goes.
Green is a better pass rusher than Seymour.

Seymour is 315, that's not exactly Dwight Freeney. His role isn't to be a pass rusher, but to tie up linemen and collapse the pocket.

Amen! This isn't about Seymour vs Green. They both add a lot-our depth there is one of the D's strengths. Sey, while not all the way back, showed a huge leap over the Washington game. And Jarvis is one of the most underestimated players on the team. He's been clutch, especially with the Manning strip with the game on the line.

I thought Seymour looked great in this second week back.... he and Wilfork got a great push up the middle almost all game, Manning was just so amazing at dumping the ball off to Addai that it didn't matter. Ofcourse, they were playing against some scrub at LT so you would expect both Seymour AND Green to beat him most of the time. Plus, they were on the field at the same time for a good portion of the game. Completely different roles.

Seymour had an 8 sack season in 2003, and few if any of those came as a 4-3 DE or other classical edge rusher. That represents a lot of ability. Sure, it's a different mix of strength vs. quickness than most top pass rushers have, but it's a heckuva lot of ability even so.

In fairness, no defensive end in the league can pressure Manning as well as Green throughout his career. Doesn't make him a better player than BigSey, but you need to give him credit for what he's done against the Colts in his career.

There is no Green vs Seymour, they are teamates. I think that Seymour is a little better that Green. AS for Seymour not being much of a factor as a late. give him some time to get back to game speed. Rodney was the same way when he came back.

When you say "no one's perfect", Tom Brady takes this as a personal insult.

Seymour was actually a big factor in the game..and Sey is A LOT better than Green and better than Warren.(when healthy, both at 100% game speed)
