I see Troy returning punts because Welker's role has been increased so much of late. Kid needs a breather. Catching passes, blocking linebackers, and returning punts?

There is always a spot for Troy Brown and we will be thankful at some point this year that we have him.
behold our Sammy Morris replacement

I thought there was a three week window to start the clock?

THe Jackson brothers (Eddie and Chad) started practicing the Tuesday after week 6, so if the window is three weeks, we should have until Monday after week 9.

Well put and further more here is to hoping he is ready sooner rather than later..

Not sure there is room for troy right now, it's too bad.
The OP was almost correct. The deadline is sometime between the Monday night game that ends Week 9 and the Sunday of Week 10, although I'm not 100% of the exact deadline within that time period; my guess is something like 5 PM Tuesday.

Also, that deadline is to have him start practicing. The deadline for activating him is three weeks from when he starts practicing.

As for his place on the team, at this point, I'm not sure there's anything he can do that Welker can't. [Welker had 22 INTs as a safety in HS; if you watch the INT in the Bengals game, you'll see his instincts switched immediately into DB mode.] I'm not saying there's no place for Bingo, just that I'm not 100% sure of it, either.

Default The PUP Clock

The clock for Troy Brown hasn't started yeat. Presumably he'll be cleared for practice on Tuesday and we'll have three weeks to decide on his future.

As I recall, the clock on the Jackson boys has already began. When does it end? I suspect it ends during the bye week, but I am not sure.

We have an open spot (Morris). It seems that no one was activated to the 45 for tomorrow's game.

I believe they were activated two weeks ago on Wednesday. That means their clock runs out on Tuesday.

Default BINGO headed to the IR?

Like many, I am curious as to what the Pats plan to do with Troy. I don't believe he started practicing this week and they are quickly running out of time with him..

I'd hate to see him end his career on the IR.
