Default LoMo...did he change his style this year from last?

If someone still has a game from last year laying around, and one from this year can you check this out...

My impression is that LoMo is lining up about a yard closer to the LOS this year. Has anyone else noticed this?

Him, I haven't noticed that (haven't looked for it either), but he seemed to be lining up pretty far back against the Redskins. When it comes to some of the other aspects of his game, I think Maroney displayed a lot of the same ability last year against the Bills & Bengals.

I think it's the zone blocking the OL has used this year. He's more comfortable with it since zone blocking was used at Minnesota.

Chris

I haven't noticed but if it's the case it may very well be as Chris mentioned. He may be getting more comfortable reading and anticipating the openings, too. As a rookie he may have been doing more reacting and felt more comfortable with an extra yard so things could develop in front of him.

All I know is that Maroney runs ferocious and looks dynamic. Can't wait to see him this weekend.

He still ( to me anyway) seems like he's taking a litle extra time to get back to the LOS. However, I think he's really starting to put it all together at the NFL level and he is going to have sime huge bust out games soon.

Last year there was crit that he ran too straight up, which was true. I watched a few plays closely last Sunday and he was NOT running straight up FWIW. He HAS made changes.

If thats true its great news. Running the way he did last year is a formula for shortning a career. To many hard hits.
