Let us not forget that SB victories are a BIG part of the stats that determine who is the better QB. Especially from a historical perspective. Why do you think Montana is so highly regarded? It's the clutch drives combined with SB victories.

And based upon those stats, Brady is already even with Montana...all he needs in 1 more and he'll be the best ever and Mannig won't have enough time to catch up to the guy who's already ahead of him!

Who are you anyway? The anti-Homer? Eff horse-head!

If Brady had been fortunate enough to have Moss and Welker since 2001, like Manning has had great WR's, then we would be talking about going for our 7th straight Super Bowl title.

Marino's receivers were damn good! Mark Clayton and Mark Duper were an unstoppable force back in the 1980s. If Miami had a running game I'm sure they would have won a couple of championships. That is, if Dan didn't blow the big game.

Mmm... I would have agreed up until opening day this year. Now? Not so sure. I think it really was the fact that Brady didn't have weapons. This year, Reche Caldwell is a gameday inactive for a team that hasn't had a receiver catch a touchdown pass yet this year. Last year, Reche Caldwell was the number 1 receiver on a team one play away from the Super Bowl.

Brady makes mediocre players look like stars. Having other stars for Brady to throw to makes him look like the best ever. Is he? I'd be tempted to say so, if he puts up another year or two like this one, and ends up with another ring or two or three.

But if your looking at a body of work over the course of two careers i dont know a single reporter or fan for that matter that would say Brady was better. It will always be Manning unless he tails off from now to the end of his career and Brady has some insane years ahead.
I disagree with that. I would argue that based on the offensive talent around each QB and now we know what Brady can do with talent, I say the opposite it is true. Brady is on his way to outshine Manning for a single season. If you look at Manning's first six years, his numbers aren't that much different than Brady's first seven.

Yes, they are definitely better in the yards department. But when you factor in he had Marvin Harrison, Marshall Faulk, and Edgerrine James and the fact that Indy didn't have a defense and forced Manning to get into shoot outs; it isn't that big of a canyon at all.

I still would like to see Peyton try to do what Brady did last year with Reche Caldwell as his only reliable WR for most of the year with a Corey Dillon who didn't have stamina to last into the second half and Maroney injured most of the year. Even our o-line was erratic last year.

The case is far from closed. I can see the argument either way, but tody's Sports Reports have shown that Manning isn't clearly the better QB. Both will go down as two of the best of all times, but because of each QB's situations they we may never know who is clearly better.

I can't anyone make a definitive argument that if both QBs swapped teams for their careers that either QB wouldn't be able to reproduce the other's production or success. If you cannot back up an argument that if Brady played for the Colts for his career that he wouldn't have been able to do what Manning has done with some definitive proof, then the case isn't closed. We have seen this year with a HOF caliber WR to throw to like Manning has had his entire career, Brady can out produce Manning's best year.

I agree. This season has everyone re-evaluating the whole Manning/Brady debate. Although I am not the biggest Moss fan, I now hope we resign him just so we can end the debate for sure next season. Manning supporters are going to argue this year is a fluke otherwise. Of that is unless he has another Manning-like year with Welker and whoever else the Pats have at WR next year.

I've never understood these debates. How do you prove who's better? The fat is that both are great QB's and both give there teams what they need.

Exactly.

I already knew Brady was better.

He did more with less and now we see him doing more with the same.

Manning is still chokeboy. He has played well in one playoff game now versus our back up defense.

All the chokes on his record are still there.
