Default The Matt Cassel Experiment...is...

OVER!........This guy can not cut it in the NFL.......I know I will get butchered on that statement......and yes it was one series.....but this is our BACK UP QB here......this IS the guy that will be coming in should anything god forbid happen to T. Brady (tapping wood like a woodpecker as I speak)....THIS IS THE GUY that is going to come in and save the day????

Cassel is a bust....he locks on receivers worse than Bledsoe ever did....and god knows that I am not trying to compare Cassel to Bledsoe here......He just isn't GOOD ENOUGH to be backing up Brady....or most likely anyone else...If we can get some kind of trade bait for the guy RIGHT NOW...I would get rid of him.........Keep Gutz....and perhaps go after some kind of vet as well.....we'll see what BB does with him.......but I think his days here are numbered.......what do you all think?

Personally, I'd rather see a journeyman backup with some starting experience (Batch, Collins, Warner) than a raw backup. We would need someone to manage a game - just keep the ship afloat. Plus its not like this is a position where the Pats are trying to develop players.

Great observations based on ONE passing play. The Patriots should just fire their ENTIRE scouting staff and hire you because its clear that you can evaluate talent based on a single series.

Of course, if that was the case and you happened to see the series last year that Brad had against the Phins, you'd say he was a bust also.

BB picked him and in BBWT

Yeah!

If he's 2nd string here he's worth at least a #2 to the Bears or some other team with a QB need. Think about it. Who would you want as a QB if you are the Bears? Griese or Cassel? No question, Cassel. He's got BB's stamp of approval.

Arizona needs a QB in the worst way. Hey, I changed my mind! 1st round pick!!

Since you asked, I think you're an idiot. Just remember, you asked.

If you are confident with cassels coming in off the bench in relief of Brady....good for you....

Cassell sucks. The guy's got the height, arm, and build. Big f'n deal. He plays like *****. Can't NEVER hit a guy in stride or on point. Always behind guys, too high, or too low. He sucks. And don't give me the BB and Pioli are geniuses crap. They are the BEST but they also make bad decisions(ie Doug Gabriel, Donald Hayes, Bethel Johnson, Monty Biesel). We would be lucky to go .500 if Casell had to lead this team.

They also cut bait faster than any other team. Some of thoe guys you mentioned didn't even make it out of year 1. Cassel has been here three years; give him more than two passes before making an evaluation.
