I know this team is being re-made in many ways, and there is still a ways to go, but what they are being re-made into is something that is going to be feared on both sides of the ball and special teams. There will be road bumps, but this is the start of a whole new something special.

I agree with all of the praise given to O'Brien. I was very impressed with his play calling today, something I really didnt see coming. He mixed things up and was creative, something we didnt see any of last season. I thought that Taylor had a very strong game, even though the stats werent eye grabbing. He ran very hard and had some big gains in big situations. I also thing Brady is a lot more comfortable with O'Brien, he was seen joking around with him after the last TD I believe, that is something you didnt see any of last season. This season is going to be very exciting

Let's not start dissing my boy Moss, ie, the O doesn't need him. For instance that wide open toss to AHern was created by Moss being double-teamed. Moss creates havoc, please do not underestimate his importance to this O. Do you realize the two most prolific offenses ever in the NFL had one thing in common? Both had Randy. Coincidence? I don't think so.

The best thing that could have happened over the summer is that Bill O'Brien was reminded that there is such a thing as the play-action pass.

Couple of questions on today's game. How many defensive plays did Spikes have about. I know Guyton started and they ran a lot of 6 db sets but I wanted to see more of him. Injuries, Neal got banged up, did he re-enter the game? Algernon walked off an injury hope he's ok.

(A) Neal returned a bit later.
(B) Reiss should have participation stats tomorrow or Tuesday.

The guys before me in this thread have a much better handle on that stuff than I do. Technically, Guyton didn't start as they started the game in their standard 34 package. He was sick situationally as the Pfifer 2.0 we all thought he would be once they built out the backerhood.

Reiss will have that breakdown sometimes this week.
