Wow. Such venom.

The Patriots are the most talented team and the best coached. In my opinion. Therefore I expect them to win each week.

There are two hurdles IMO. Neither is a letdown.

The first is injuries. We have more than most teams every year so there's no reason to expect that to stop now.

The second is we have several games against teams who could beat us if they play at the top of their game. Will an Indy or a Pittsburgh do that the same week we aren't 100% sharp ? Maybe. And that would beat us.

They have a solid kicker in Stephen Gostkowski, who's been been automatic in 2007.

This is written by a "pro scout" and people pay money to read it? Really?

Less talented Patriots teams have gone 14-2. It can be done. If we stay really healthy, a longshot I know, then . . .

If i want to believe my team is gonna go undefeated. Then i am going to. I dont have to answer to anyone. Ofcourse i dont think we are going undefeated but thats beside the point.

ALso its funny, the Topic says, "The pats MAY be good enough"....it never said the Pats WILL go undefeated.

It's true for his kickoff role where he's been phenomenal. He missed a FG and had a shaky preseason but really - who needs a FG kicker anyway ?

IF Theres no injuries in a major way and IF they continue to play like they are playing right now then 14-2 is very possible and that IMO is best scenerio by FAR.

I would think that teams with great defenses like Baltimore,Pittsburgh and great offenses like Indy and Dallas are where 2 of those losses will occur.

12-4 or 13-3 are most likely to be realistic especially if BB rests some guys by the end of week 14

You are taking it personally,I said ANYONE - Not just Desi-patsfan,and just like you if I believe anyone who thinks the team is going to be 16-0 is retarded than I am going to think that way and I don't answer to anyone on here either - I really don't think that writer believes it anyway but its a good way to make potential reading customers on the scouts website.

Writers are like Attorneys-you can NEVER trust them.

Some people here are getting all bent over nothing. It is one thing to say the team is going "16-0". It is a completely different thing to say that it has a chance to go "16-0". From what was posted from the Insider article, all sides of the ball are complete, from the coach to the special teams (except the punting game which is mentioned).

I think the resounding point is the last one: they have a chip on their shoulder.

This was the same point I was making last night with friends: the only thing this scandal will end up doing is putting a bigger chip on the shoulder of the New England Patriots. As if they needed one, they have a huge one with the spy scandal. As long as they feed their fire with this attitude that has been perpetuated by the scandal, every player that takes the field (whether he is replacing an injured star or is a star themself) will have something to prove. And if he doesn't have something to prove, there are a ton of leaders that will tell him he does. Some teams get fat and happy toward the end of the season when they feel they are entitled to win all 16 games whether they admit it or not. See the Broncos vs. the Dolphins when Elway lost his perfect season to the lonely Dolphins of all teams.

I'm not saying anyone is going 16-0 and you didn't read this if you thought I did. What I am saying is that given the talent, leadership and fire, they COULD go 16-0.

That said, there are some good teams out there and we have to play most of them. Colts aren't going to roll over for anyone, but I'm hoping the Pats have some extra fire for that AFCC loss last year. Hate on me if you want, but I'm not jumping on any Steeler wagon yet. I just don't think the defense is as great as it has been in years past and the offense is far from difficult to scheme against after a few games into the season. Cowboys are playing the role of the Patriots, who are playing the role of the Rams in the Super Bowl. Romo is just as much the special QB that Brady is and TO is equal in talent to Moss. Their running game is hilarious, but Barber won't leave too many players laughing when he runs over them. Still, I think they come off 2 easy victories and play lower than their abilities when actually facing a quality opponent. I still think the Rams can take care of them and then the media will sing a whole new song.

And lets not talk about the AFC East. It is pathetic, but I admit strange things happen. A bad call here and an injury there and the Pats lose to Trent Edwards and the Bills.

Limit the hate guys.

We all want good for our team.
