First off we need to give the Bengals some respect.
They have a ProBowl QB and maybe the best WR in the game.
Explosive offensive.
They are dangerous.
I expect we will run at them to open up the pass.
I think they have been allowing 5+ yards per run.
So I wouldn't be surprised to see 30 carries and 200 or so yards on the ground. That will also control the clock and keep that offense on the bench.
I think they just might give us our best challenge yet...

I think that the Bengals are going to have a very difficult time stopping anything our offense wants to do.
Their offense is good, but our defense is just as good.
They will make plays on offense because of the talent they have. They have good enough talent to make plays that are well-defended. Ultimately, we will socre a lot of points, get comfortably ahead, and they will be forced out of their big play mentality. Once we lead, and force them to have 15 play drives to score, its all over.
Good offense, that will take advantage if we make mistakes, but I don't think the outcome is a very big challenge.
Re: What do you expect to see in the Bengals game?
400 yds passing by each QB...
Limited running attacks on both sides...
Fast, uptempo game, lots of TD's...
Down to the wire finish...
Bengals eke out a much needed win in OT.
Re: What do you expect to see in the Bengals game?
I HOPE we see some good defense from the Pats. Good pass rushing, coverage, no big passes. Maybe an interception or two. And for the love of god, just ONE red zone stop.

These two comments sum up my opinion.
However you match up the units, Offense vs. Offense and Defense vs. Defense or Our Offense vs. Their Defense and their Offense vs. Our Defense the end result is there's three really good units, their offense, our offense, our defense and one really bad unit - their defense. We also have better special teams so far if you want to include them.
They'll score some points, they have a good offense. But our defense will be good enough to hold them to a reasonable point total - it's difficult to imagine their defense will hold us to a reasonable point total.
Re: What do you expect to see in the Bengals game?
OK, logic would tell you the Patriots are going to use some two and three TE sets and run the ball down the throat of that week Bengels defense, which then would open up the airways for play action passes to Moss, Stallworth, Watson and Welker. That being said I wouldn't be surprised to see the Patriots in some spread during this game and going on some drives where they basically throw every down.
Right now just about everyone on the planet thinks NE is going to try and run against the Bengels and Maroney will have a big game. This is why it wouldn't surprise me if NE were to try and catch a Bengels defense that's expecting the run by coming out throwing. We'll see man, and it should be a good game.

We'll see if our D is any good.
There's zero reason to be concerned about our D. Zero. Even the red zone thing is a non issue to me - the numbers are what they are but we have WAY too many legit athletes on defense for that to be a year long problem.

I have become adept at using the Gil/Gino game calling via Fieldpass on my computer, and synching the TV picture to it by controlling the comcast DVR delay. Fieldpass blacks out the BCN commercials, so I get dead air instead of commercials. Only downside is that I can't hit the replay button for fantastic plays, but it is worth it to miss out on the TV clown announcers

Bengals D is just plain bad. You don't have to trick them, though I'm sure BB will. But just having Brady run through his reads is enough. Even if they know we are passing (empty backfield), they will still get burnt over and over.
Same thing running the clock in the fourth quarter. Not sure how good they are at stopping a runnng team even if they know a run is coming.
They have good O, we have better O.
We have great D, they have bad D.
It doesn't take much to do the math.
Biggest problem is another let-down start, like with the Bills. Don't see it happening, though.
Looks like a good chance at 4-0 to me. My biggest worry is will we get 38 points again. It's a nice trend
