Default OT: Question for the Jets Fans

There have been a lot of you around this summer, so I thought Patsfans.com should get your take on the upcoming Jets/Ravens matchup.

So, who do you predict will win the game, and why?

Jets. Flacco won't be able to move the ball consistently against the secondary.

Do you figure that the Jets will be able to move the ball consistently against their defense, even with their secondary in the shape that it is? I still think it's not a great matchup for the Jets, since the Ravens are tough to run on and Sanchez can't reliably move the chains through the air.

looks like on your sig. that you have the Jets going 11-5. Wouldn't this be one of the more obvious 5 games to pick as a loss? What score do you have for the game?

I think it's a tough matchup for both teams. That's why I think it'll be a low-scoring bloodbath. It's a coin flip for who will win IMO.

I give the Jets the edge because they will be fired up by the emotions of the first game in the new stadium, in primetime.

Trust me, I worry about Sanchez also. However, I think if the Jets stick to the conservative gameplan they ran in the playoffs, they will win. Pound it down their throat, even if you don't have much success, just keep chipping away. Limit Sanchez's attempts and get him rolling out of the pocket where he feels most comfortable. Then, by the second half, the Ravens front seven should be more worn down. Have Sanchez hit the occasional throw (against that god awful secondary) and that should keep the defense honest.

I predict a final score of around 17-13 Jets.

Also, don't be surprised if Rex Ryan comes out with something that completely stuns the Ravens offense. Kind of like the opener against Houston last year. What was interesting to me, was during the Hard Knocks finale, when Rex was going off on Revis' agents, he said "Watch what ******* happens on Monday night."

Seriously though, who the hell picks a loss for the season opener?

Yeah, that's true. It's definitely a crap break that Holmes had to miss this game, but it's an even trade if Ed Reed is out too, hahaha. After seeing how bad the Steelers get without Polamalu, it'll be interesting to see if the Ravens' D falls off a cliff too.

I'd honestly pick the Ravens if Ed Reed were playing.

Also, Holmes is a notorious Raven killer, so it sucks that he'll miss this one.

It cracks me up how the same Jester fans who wanted to run this fat clown out of town last November now hang on his every word as if he's a literary philosopher.
