The: I'm starting to get nervous thread

So who's starting to get nervous about tomorrows game?

I will admit I am. Opening day games and playoff games always get me nervous. This one is against a really good team so I may be even a little more nervous. I think after I take the first hit I'll be OK.

Maybe it's just a combo of excitement and nerves but the next 24 hours is going to be tense for me.

I certainly am more concerned about this defense than I have been going back to 2002

I see this game being less than a 4 point victory and can certainly go either way...it scares me when Tedy Bruschi himself thinks Cincy pulls this one out.

It won't hit me untill about a 1/2 hour before kick off, then I turn into a freaky uptight spaz.

Absolutely! Me too.

Especially this year. What will happen with this defense? Can they stop the run on third-and-short/red zone? Is Brady *really* back? Can the "co-ordinators" step up?

Cinci's a good team, they've been under our radar because the last time we had to play them they were the old Bengals. But they beat Baltimore and Pitt twice each last year, and several analysts have them winning the SB this year, so they're for real.

I can't get over how tough our schedule is this year - 11 games against upper echelon teams.

That's because John Brantley sucks. We're going to get spanked against Alabama and LSU.

Anyway I'm not getting nervous. I would more or less call it "excited". Right before game time, I'm going to get some serious butterflies in my stomach from nerves. I might have to hit the toilet real quick during the pregame show for a nice diharrea.

I would say I'm nervously excited? Maybe I should change my mood emoticon from Yeehaw to something else? I'm heading off for work shortly and won't get home till probably 3am. I'm hoping to be tired enough to be able to sleep for a few hours...

I'm nervous as hell, too. Watching the Pats-Bengals game should be fun though. I'm looking forward to that more than any other non-Jets game.
