I'd rather have Welker or Tate out there returning punts than him if he isn't well enough to play receiver.
I bloody don't!

Would you rather it be the rookie Price?

Because it lightens the load on them all, Edelman works back by just returning punts and Welker can just be a WR. And I think Tate is probably the #3 WR over Edelman right now anyway.

Well, we'll see, Edelman has been out so there's another reason he hasn't been returning punts.

Given that the other option is Wilhite, cutting Wheatley now wouldn't make any sense.

Well, he was injured early on in the second game. . . .

Which was generally my point, he had an explosive return in game one then got hurt. I may be wrong, I often am, but I am assuming Edelman is out top punt returner with Welker and Tate playing WR and Tate also returning kickoffs in combination with others like McCourty. I was on the "Welker will be back for game one" bandwagon but I doubt he'll be a full time WR and PR right off the bat.

Welker damn better be retired from PR duty! He is abused often enough. I do not want to ever see him there again. We have plenty of other candidates.

Id hate to see them give up on him just yet, hes a very intelligent dude and if he stays healthy we could have something there.
