I think any reasonable fan will tell you Chad Pennington is a below average NFL QB.

I personally think he hinders this offense but other disagree. What can you do? lol.

I don't think Pennington is a below average QB. (Have you looked at the garbage most teams put out there.)

I think of Pennington as a game manager. He isn't great, but he usually makes good decisions and helps wins games. He does limit the offense, in that the only scheme he can be successful in is probably the dink and dunk with plenty of short yardage check downs. At the same time, the Jets have made the playoffs ever year where Pennington has started in at least 13 games, which even Tom Brady and Peyton Manning can't say. Pennington can take a team to the playoffs but I don't think he can take them to the Superbowl.

First I would not expect a fan of another team to come here and predict his team to lose. If that was the case i would question if this was a Jest fan at all.

Secondly, I hate an opening game with a division rival but I think we will walk out of there with a big win.

Sorry, but the Jets board with the most activity and most fun to read is Jetsinsider. As long as they Moga and a few others it's the funniest board to look at.

Moga is a MUST-READ. Anytime I'm down and need a pick-me-up, I just search for his latest posts.

I too hate an opening game against a division rival, especially the Jets (even though I never fail to get amused of their hate/howlings against us and their persistent predictions of the doom of the Patriots).

Count me as one of those fans - miniscule % or minority or majority or whatever - who is a bit shaken by the RH/RS dual whammy just a week before the first game begins. I do not know how this might affect the focus of the players, especially the RH scenario. I hope we come out with a W, however small it might be, and prove that we are a very mature team capable of dealing with all distractions and shocking news.

But again, a few years back, a popular player/leader was shockingly lost just before the season and we got thrashed by a division rival in the opener but look where we ended.

So, I am going to take a deep breath and try to be calm irrespective of what the outcome is. Breathe in...breathe out...

Here are some comical posts that I found today at Jetsinsider:
Quote:
Just a continuation of yesterdays rumor. Personally I would like to see Moss play as a Pat, but if he's really b!tchin, trade him for a 1st day pick (better than throwing away a 4th at least):
We're not cutting Moss, get over it, or trading him for that matter. This thread was made today BTW, not yesterday.

The Jets ARE closing the gap on the Patriots
Thread title, do I even have to copy and paste the post? Maybe they're closing the gap, but very slowly, and maybe around 2090 they'll be better than us.

Seymour PUP'd --Hadn't seen this posted yet. It is never bad when this guy misses a game against us.
Haha, 3 of their first 7 threads on the first page are about the Patriots, kind of funny. Paranoid much?
