Default Anyone watching the chargers, niners game?

These gotta be the worst announcers I ever heard.
They're talking about how the Chargers can come out with the most basic sets like wishbones and power formations, and no team in the NFL can match up with their talent.
They said what are you gonna do put a 5ft9 corner on Vincent Jackson or Malcom Floyd.
What middle linebacker can stay with Micheal Turner as a fullback out of the backfield?
Then talking about how Norv Turner knows how to get teams thru the playoff's.
I'm gonna barf I heard a lot of homerish things from other announcers and message boards including this one but how are these guy employed as announcers?

well the giants game was pretty bad...at some point after a commercial they do a recap of the game...i think the pats were winning by 10...schokey 4 passes caught, td run by jacob and a sack by some guy...oh and they had to remind me about the sox! you ahrdly ever knew which pat made the play...even if a giant defender was burnt on a pass play...they would say ...great recovery to make the stop

In the pats game they were calling eric alxander lined up inside as the outside line backer and having potential to be a OLB.

And Cross called the ball down at the 22 after a Giant punt runback that was stomped at the 17. Geez, if I can see it, why can't he?

They also picked the Chargers to win the superbowl.....with Norv Turner as their coach. If Marty couldn't do it, what makes them think that Norv Turner can do it?

Well unfortunately I had no access to the Patriot Giant game where I live.
NFL network was broadcasting the chargers game and I just couldn't believe the blind homer jabber that was coming out of these paid announcers mouths.
Yes I agree though from what I saw of the preseason games the pats announcers seemed clueless most of the time.

The announcers are purposely biased towards the team they are announcing for in the preseason. That's just how it works.

I'm a Pats fan, but let's face it, last year the Chargers were the most talented team and probably are again this year. But as we all know, talent alone does not win championships.

The Chargers were better last year than they are now. Wilhem and Cooper are no where near the equivalent in talent or experience to pro bowler Donnie Edwards and Godfrey who finally retired, were at ILB. Its as if we cut Bruschi and Seau and Vrabel, and gave the job to Alexander and Beisel. The newcomers have no more pedigree or expectations of greatness than either of those two.

Vincent Jackson reminds me of a bigger and better Bethel Johnson. He runs lots of deep fly patterns and and occasionally snags one. But he is no great shakes on the short and intermediate route running stuff. Eric Parker is in the class of a Gaffney or Caldwell, hardly a #1 like Moss or Stallworth. Of course their TE Gates, is terrific. But they have problems at WR and that is why they used a #1 for a WR even as we did with CJ last year. The Chargers have more holes than they did last season.

The coaching staff is new and off its previous output, is just mediocre.
