Ugoh has ALWAYS been a dog.
Just a dog ... or a dog-faker ... be more specific.

Have we ever waived someone who had a toe injury?

Not a broken toe ... just says toe injury ... so Polian called the toe-truck flat bed for tony?

If they were in Boston the talk shows would be apocalyptic about a missed early pick and would go on and on about how it killed the team.

Your mistake was in considering Ugoh a 2nd-round pick. The Colts spent a 1st on him.

He was the 47th pick. Did they trade up for him?

Edit: nevermind saw the other thread. Ouch

I wonder if Polian will go to the competition committee to make it against the rules to blitz on the quarterback's left side.....
Nah, he'll probably just make it illegal to have a defense on the field while the Colts' offense is ALSO on the field.

I posted this on the other thread, but it is worth posting here:

For all the hype Polian gets for drafting and people have trashed Belichick for his recent drafts, Polian has wiffed on a lot of first round picks in recent years. Joseph Addai started out like a stud and turned into a dud. Anthony Gonzalez is falling down the depth chart. Tony OhOh is a bust. Donald Brown is not even a great change of pace back. The Colts' 2007 and 2008 drafts are less than spectacular. Their 2009 draft doesn't look to be shaping up to much better

Yup, the new and improved "11 men" penalty.

"People say, 'What will you do if you don't play football?' Why would I even think of doing anything else? What would I do instead of run out in front of 80,000 people and command 52 guys and be around guys I consider brothers and be one of the real gladiators? Why would I ever want to do anything else? It's so hard to think of anything that would match what I do: Fly to the moon? Jump out of planes? Bungee-jump off cliffs? None of that s--- matters to me. I want to play this game I love, be with my wife and son, and enjoy life." - Tom Brady

Indeed: Not only their 1st Rounder in 2008 ~ #29 ~ but their 4th Rounder in 2007.

There are lots of things you can screw up on and get away with it. LT isn't one of them. The when you try and salvage a guy as a guard and it still doesn't pan out...wow. Wonder what they will do with that OL this season besides blame them... Charlie Johnson was a 6th rounder they they were trying to plug in until he got hurt and they had to move Ugoh back out to tackle. Saturday has been hurt most of the pre season. Even a blind squirrel is right every once in a while...this could be the year...

Apparently that first round passrusher everyone thought we wanted that we passed on hasn't exactly been impressive through camp and pre season, either. When Polian makes a mistake it's usually an epic one... I noticed Pit**** who Polian drafted in the 3rd a couple of years ago who turned around on his way to camp in year two and retired (supposedly to play video games) tried to make a comeback this season and got cut from some other team last week. Polian also gambles a lot with system wonders, waves to all but a handful when it comes extension time, although with Dungy, Mudd and the only pro OC Peyton's ever known all finally really gone this season that could get a little dicey too.
